Me, explaining to the ~~social~~ special education evaluators about the words my then three year old could say and use correctly: he'll say "oh shit" in the right context

Them: both laughing We can't put that down officially, but it's impressive that he uses it correctly

Yes, most toddlers will repeat it to parrot it back and then keep doing it because any reaction from the adults is a good reaction.

My toddler absorbed "goddammit", and used it correctly! Was reaching for a toy on a high(ish) table, fell, knocked toys over, and landed in a heap. I hear, "goddammit" from behind me, and feel my wife stating daggers at me! Fun times.
