what exactly are you worried about? So long as we generate more energy (preferably via nuclear + wind + solar) who cares?
You have visual evidence of the capacity right now: is your light on or off? If they are on, we have the energy capacity.
Nuclear is the best base-load option we have. What would you rather have? Coal?
Hey, woa. Facts and knowledge? Gtfo here. You're ruining the circle jerk. You're supposed to stroke it, not choke it. Sheesh...
Are you also worried about the US military burning billions of gallons of diesel per month, wasting trillions of dollars and murdering millions per decade?
LOL, you are under mind control. The US military is used by criminal bankers to bully all nations into their corrupt financial system. They murder 99% of innocent people when they drop bombs on schools, hospitals, and critical infrastructure.
Libya was a peaceful and prosperous nation which refused to be dominated by the bankers, so the US went in and destroyed it, now it is a hub for slavery and human trafficking, filled with radical extremists. Only the state benefits from terror attacks.
Crypto will will dethrone these parasites and that is when peace will actually have a chance.
Wow. Just wow. Just fucking WOW.
And then USA folks are surprised why some countries hate them...
We are the free world and everybody who is not us/with us deserves to be killed...
Holy shit
Well, then replace USA with "members of the free world".
Yeah, ad hominem is the only argument I expected from you :)
Already know how to.
I am Ukrainian. If I didn't leave Ukraine before the war, I'd indeed likely be sent to die by the puppet Nazi regime controlled by the benevolent "free world". I do hope I'll get to celebrate Trump ending the war in Ukraine and saving hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian lives which you would like to see dead.
That's so fucking weird when a guy who doesn't mind killing innocent people "Because people who are killed by/thanks to USA and allies are anyway all terrorists and bad people" tells me I have a rotten soul... Holy fuck, have you tried looking in a mirror?..
Yeah that's usually how any discussion with the folks from "free world" goes like... No valid arguments, just ad hominems and "your account is new therefore you're troll". The level of stupidity is unimaginable.
BTW, a perk of having your own instance is that you see the reports that somebody sends on you.
And it's really funny seeing the constant (well, actually just 3 as of now, but as I'm active in the political discussions I'm quite sure I'll collect a dozen of them) "misinformation/trolling" reports on myself, yet not even once, not a single person told me what is the "misinformation" that I spread or what exactly am I "trolling" about...
Almost like all those people have no arguments to back up their claims and rely on emotions and ad hominems instead of using logic.. Weird :)
Miners have the ability to rapidly switch off in the event that power is needed elsewhere on the grid and then switch on again when that demand lessens in order to keep things more steady. Look up how Bitcoin mining is helping to electrify places like Africa, for example. In cases like that, it becomes more profitable for the power company to run lines to villages and when they don't use all the power generated, the Bitcoin mine eats it. And it's cheap to the Bitcoin mine and provides base demand for the power company.
I dont think any miner would turn off their rigs, and be alright they will be beaten in finding the next winning hash when the priority is making money and not the good of the grid.
Your comment seems like youre constructing some incredibly specific situation where mining would not have these issues, when the criticism is aimed at mining as it generally is done.
