This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.

IdPol seems custom-designed to be for wreckers.
If you have any idea of how left movements have historically split/faltered, the importance of maintaining a cohesive front – it's like someone studied that history and designed the most cancerous ideology for the left.
Is it "for the left" though? What we're seeing here is absent of any Marxism.
it's "for the left" in that basically nobody is raised a marxist, anarchist, etc, so most arrive at the actual left via first being a liberal and then seeing liberalism fail to accomplish the things it claims to care about. But they bring a lot of ideological baggage with them from liberalism, idpol being a part of that. It takes a decent amount of learning and reflection to overcome that inherited and come to an understanding of liberation and materialism that actually prioritizes those most downtrodden which idpol claims to care about, but in a way that doesn't require you to treat identity as the end-all-be-all.
Although reading it again I think that they mean it is cancerous to the left when it gets in, not that it is a product of or for the left specifically
I can see where you're coming from. It doesn't help that it's what the mainstream media considers "left"
