Eso huele a NVIDIA drivers.

La ralla parpadeante suele sig. Que el servidor de x o wsylamd (la wea que renderiza tu pantalla) falló.

Ctrl + alt + F1 para acceder al TTY, (teletipo, básicamente una consola, ahí trata de iniciar tu display mánager y ve que pasa, esto le pasa por usar debían en algo que no sea un laptop con gráfica integrada o un servidor (o equipo rizen amd).
