Why do you need light bars?

As far as I can tell they're important for night-time off-roading only. Similar for the mega high beam downhill mountain bike headlights. But in both communities, there's no shortage of assholes who just love their billion lumen fuck you lights. Cycling against bike traffic during bike peak hour on say the Scotchman's creek trail is fucked for the high beams. But no one gets in trouble for it, so people do what they want. Driving round in the bush these days I no longer dip my lights until they do, I used to try and do it as I saw the glow of oncoming headlights so I was never actually beaming anyone but people mostly just seem to leave their high beams on.
TLDR: malakas
Yeah I try to be good, but these idiots probably can't even see the glow of my headlights, because theirs are so bright, so I've also defaulted to letting them make the first move. Another thing I've noticed is that sometimes they will turn of the light bar but keep the high beams on.
