The beauty of the Tank Guy is we don't know why he did that. He did eventually get up and talk to the tank driver. He wasn't killed or anything and definitely was not run over by the tank. He very well could have gotten up there and said, "Make sure you do not go easy on these insurrectionists. When our turn comes we shall not apologize for the terror."
