You are all overcomplicating coffee. All those machines and whatnot.

I see it more as able to make a mediocre cup, neither good nor bad. With brewed, you can change around different variables to play with the taste and thus can make good versions as well as bad. Being reconstituted, there is also the issue of less aromatics which plays a role in its taste, similar to orange juice needing flavor pack after processing.
