A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. A showerthought should offer a unique perspective on an ordinary part of life.

i’m doing it because I want to make the fediverse more friendly place, in hopes of making it more welcoming for new users, and the nicer place in general. But I wonder how much is just less bots.

Technically a verbal compliment is faker than an upvote (a visual sign of approval) because at least the visual approval hasn't fizzled out of existence after being used. So since a compliment and an upvote are sort of similar, shouldn't we treat an upvote somewhat similarly to how we treat compliments?
