[Xitter] just announced a smart TV app for streaming video. Or, more accurately, that it claims it's building one, with absolutely no launch date mentioned. The appropriately-named [Xitter] TV wants to be “your go-to companion for a high-quality, immersive entertainment experience on a larger screen.”

Musk probably wanted to create something like WeChat, so that he has all the power.

He's blatantly stated as much before. He wants Twitter to be the everything app, the WeChat of the US

He’s been saying it since the 90s. His “X App” is just the latest iteration of his want to create an all-encompassing “X” platform for everything from dating to banking.
