Thank you to everyone who showed up and is making this place happen!

And a request to the lurkers - try posting! While I'm very happy with the progress we're making, we have about 400 users while the biggest NMS subreddit has about 850,000. If we're going to sustain this community past the initial outrage about Reddit, we have to give people a reason to come back.

Unlike the biggest NMS subreddit, we don't have layers of unwritten rules about what's allowed. Your post won't get removed, and we welcome "casual content". If it's NMS, and it's not monetized, you can post anything: weird beetles, every ship you find, a "captain's log" of what you're doing in-game today, your PG-rated romance with a Vy'keen... We all have to work together to keep this community active!

(Monetized content is still allowed, just limited to 1 monetized post per 7 days.)

I already posted 3 images here today, and after being a lurker on the reddit sub for more than 7 years, I finally feel like my lurking days are over 😎😎😎

Also there is something cozy about being in a small internet community
