Hello everyone,

Some of you might remember when I stopped posting fanart in this community. Since then, I didn't manage to get any answer from the admin team of the lemmy.ml instance. Life happened (as it does) and I put off looking for other solutions. Until now!

I now have the opportunity to move the community over to [email protected], which should hopefully offer more clarity about what can be posted in the Project Moon community.

If you still want to see the official announcements from Project Moon, as well as their sneaky merch releases, I invite you to subscribe to the new community over at lemmy.cafe =) And who knows, we might get to see more fanart again...

Hoping to see you on the other side,
Your moderator,
Gao

Announcement on Steam.

Hello,
this is Project Moon.

We have identified an issue with the Version 1.75.0, deployed Apr. 30th(WED) 12:00 (KST),
where applying Custom Language causes various UI elements to malfunction and load incorrectly.

We would like to ask for your understanding that, as this error directly coincided with our development schedule for Canto 8, it is difficult for us to deploy a new game client version for this issue via a hotfix.

Cause

  • This issue was a side effect of an effort to address the issue in which the English font would load in simultaneously next to fonts used for custom languages
  • Logic crashes occurred between texts that were loaded via a separate logic for this custom effect and the one for the adjusted system, which caused the fonts to load incorrectly

Solution

  • Identified the steps taken to develop this custom effect, and resolved the separate logic used to implement the adjustments

The version with the fix for this issue will be deployed when the May 8th (THU) 12:00 (KST) Scheduled Maintenance ends.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Announcement on Steam.

Hello, this is Project Moon.

The application review for the respective stores have been completed earlier than expected, so Ver. 1.75.1 update is available for download now.
Any users who have had an issue with playing the game should be able to access the game now.

[Game Inaccessibility Issue Fix Deployment]

  • When: After 2025.04.30 22:00 (KST)
  • Fixed Issue: An issue where certain devices(below Android OS Ver. 12) could not get past the additional in-game downloads window, making the game inaccessible

If you haven't encountered any issues with the previous version (Ver. 1.75.0),
there is no need to update your game to the new version (Ver. 1.75.1) to play the game normally.

If your respective store does not display the button to update the game,
please note that there may be a margin of error based on your device settings, and try again at a later time.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Announcement on Steam.

Hello, this is Project Moon.

Of the identified issues that we have shared today, the issue where players using certain devices were unable to access the game has been resolved. With this notice, we would like to inform you of the current situation and our upcoming update.

We additionally confirmed that this inaccessibility issue affects devices with Android OS versions under Version 12.

At first, we intended to resolve this issue via our next Scheduled Update,
as adjustment in logic could have caused issues with the Canto 8 update schedule.

Fortunately, we determined that this issue could go through a client build and be submitted for review without heavily affecting the Canto 8 development schedule.
Also, because the fix to the logic has been completed earlier than we had expected,
the fix for this error will be deployed much sooner than we had informed you with our earlier notice.

We are going to submit this version for store review.
As soon as the review is complete, we will inform you of the deployment ETA via an additional notice.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue.

[4/30 Scheduled Update Error Compensation]
Compensation : Lunacy x1000

  • Recipients: all users whose game accounts were created before 06:00 May. 15th, 2025 (KST)
  • When: After May 8th, (Thu) 2025, 12:00 (KST) Can be claimed once per account

Error Compensation can be claimed until May 15th (Thu) 2025, 06:00 (KST) via the in-game Mailbox. (Mail available for 7 days)

Announcement on Steam.

Hello, this is Project Moon.

We have identified an issue where, after the Apr. 30th Scheduled Update (Ver. 1.75.0), certain devices are unable to access the game.

We have identified the cause of this issue, and we are in the process of fixing it.

However, the fix for the problematic internal logic requires a client build and a submission to the marketplace,
so it cannot be immediately deployed via a hotfix.

Please understand that the fix will be deployed via our next version (Ver. 1.75.1) update.

We would like to ask managers experiencing this issue to access the game via a different device or Steam for now.
We sincerely apologize for this connection issue.

[Issue]

  • An issue where, after the 2025.04.30 Update, certain devices are unable to access the game due to instances of additional in-game downloads

[Cause]

  • This is a side effect that occurred while deploying optimizations to the localization text download system
  • The error occurs when the game attempts to save the localization texts in file directories that are prohibited in certain devices

[Solution]

  • Adjusted the file directory to save to a specific Limbus Company app directory

[Future Measures]

  • Add more devices to the list of our internal testing devices to identify and prevent device-specific issues from occurring

We once again sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.

Hello, this is Project Moon.

We would like to inform you about the issues that have been identified in the 2025.04.30 (KST) Scheduled Update.

[List]
▶ (iOS) An issue where attempting to purchase the new package causes an error, as the package has not been activated in the store yet

▶ (AOS, iOS) An issue where a 3.2Mb of additional in-game download continues to occur, preventing game access

We are currently investigating the above issues, and we will inform you via a notice as soon as they have been fixed.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Announcement on Steam.

Hello, this is Kim Jihoon, director at Project Moon.

I write to share some information regarding the following subjects:
"Theater - Identity Stories -Sinner employee card resources changed" from the April 17th (THU) Scheduled Update Notice,
and our current "Walpurgis Night schedule".

I would first like to apologize for delivering this delayed response despite recognizing the issue early on. Due to several internal meetings, it took me some time to write and post this announcement in a timely manner. I apologize.

The employee card images applied to the current version of the game, which are reverse sides of the Sinners' employee cards that display their logos, will be replaced with new illustrations as soon as possible(current deadline - by April 30th, Wednesday).

I informed our users long ago that the mugshot illustrations present in the Theater tab will be replaced.
So, given that the mugshot illustrations were going to be changed, I became somewhat overzealous, wondering if there was anything I could express more of or elaborate regarding the Sinners' stories in their pre-employment statuses. Because of this, I wavered on making a judgment call, constantly delaying the finalization of the new mugshots' design directions, and prioritized other urgent upcoming schedules.

The current placeholder versions of the employee cards applied to the game are a result of that hesitation—I began to believe that the image change should be applied as soon as possible, given that we had shared the information that they would be changed long ago, and that the new Season was approaching fast.

However, this decision was problematic for both our players' and my expectations.

Therefore, to prioritize improving the employee card UI image qualities, we intend to produce new mugshot illustrations with minimal changes to the design directions applied in our previous illustrations.

After an impromptu internal discussion, we concluded that our schedule allows for the mugshots to be updated by Apr. 30th (WED).

However, please understand that, in favor of speed, there won't be any significant changes to the characteristics of each Sinner expressed in the previous versions of the mugshots in the re-drawn illustrations. Given that I wavered for such a long time on making any changes to them, we concluded that the lore and design direction of the previous mugshot images were already good.

Also, I regret to inform you that the Walpurgis Night event will be released after Canto 8 is complete, so I beg your forgiveness and patience.
As we are currently all-hands-on-deck for the development of Canto 8, attempting to match the beginning of our Walpurgis Night event with the real-life Walpurgis Night again could cause a significant delay, so I decided to forgo that choice this time.

Once again, I sincerely apologize for causing our managers this inconvenience.

I will try my best to ensure that similar cases do not occur again.

Thank you.

Announcement on Steam.

Hello, this is Project Moon.

We have added a new function to be able to set different fonts for title vs. content texts when using custom fonts. (ex) Set different fonts for ID Skill names & descriptions)

Please refer to the following link for a tutorial on how to apply the custom languages.

[제목, 본문 폰트 별도 적용 방법]

  1. Find the following folder: "LimbusCompany_Data/Lang/(your Custom Language folder name here)/Font".
ex) If your Custom Language folder is called "lang1", find the "LimbusCompany_Data/Lang/lang1/Font" folder.

  2. Create two new folders "Title" and "Context" in the above directory.

  • Title: For "titles"
  • Context: For "content"

  1. Add the fonts you want to apply in each respective folder.

  1. Run the game.

Also, we are planning to deploy the following fix with our next update.

To be fixed:

  • An issue where, when implementing Custom Languages, custom fonts and official fonts could load in simultaneously next to each other when alphabets or letters that are shared between one of the official languages(KR, JP, EN) and the applied Custom Language are present

We will bring additional changes and improvements to the Custom Language function to help provide a more accessible gameplay experience.

Thank you.

Once again, Project Moon didn't make any official announcement, but here is more (official) merch!

What?

  • A model jacket inspired by Sinners uniforms
  • Phone straps, with one version per Sinner, Dante included (13 versions total)

Where?

There are two storefront, one based in the US and one based in Japan. The prices are different, and so are the shipping costs, so take your time to compare if you're in any country other than US and Japan! Super Groupies apparently recommend going through their Japan store for most countries.

When?

These are pre-orders and will close in early May (May 6th or May 8th depending on the storefront), for a delivery in August (Japan storefront) or October (US storefront). The per-orders might close early if the stocks run out.
