Dear Reader who I shall never know, in your eyes, I know this game was ultimately a fiction. However, I hope you’ll follow us in our analysis and recounting of this fantastical adventure. I hope I will be able to reminisce and review what we saw together. Even if your journey is over, I hope you’ll still want to tag along. And, most importantly, with all my heart, I hope that fantasy will keep giving you strength.

SMTV:V Hype Thread (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 year ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

My copy is arriving on Saturday - it seems that the days of ordering on Amazon and occasionally getting games a day early has passed.

I was a fan of the base game and I don't think the story was as bad as some people made it out to be. However I am excited for the new story that they are promising with the Vengeance route. Getting hyped up seeing the positive reviews coming through!

I have been replaying SMTIV:A this week in the run up to the release to keep me occupied. Had taken a detour into the Devil Survivor series most recently so it has been nice returning to the mainline gameplay.

What are you all thinking about the release this week? Any hopes for the new title? Fears?

Tohou Artificial Dream In Arcadia is hands down the best SMT-clone I've ever played. It's extremely cheap, got it for a fiver. Devs are regularly updating it. The gameplay is closer to SMT1/2 than anything else I've ever played. Clearly a labour of love from the devs.

I'm playing persona 5 for the first time and just finished the third palace. I'm getting overwhelmed with all these confidants and a having trouble deciding who to spend time with. My question is: does the game give enough time to develop a handful of confidants? Or should I focus on a couple? I've been looking up their perks and there's several that I'd like to max out.

I personally didn't like it what I played, but halfway through the game I lost the cartridge and didn't buy a new copy or have a warranty. The combat was alright, the story bad, and the designs were ok. Do you think they make an enhanced version of the game, if what would it include, and so would you buy it?

I am just playing through P5R for the first time and love how all the details with the outfits and music changes. Figured this list might help someone:

Yasogami - Time To Make History

St. Hermelin - Lone Prayer

Karukozaka - SMT if Old Enemy

Ultramarine - Battle Hymn of the Soul

Yumizuki - SMT Devil Summoner Raidou Battle Theme

Q2 - Invitation to Freedom

Dancing - Groovy

Featherman - Let's Go Featherman!

Demonica - Strange Journey The Great Sign

Catherine - Stage

Shadow Ops - The Arena

Samurai Garb - Battle a2

Seven Sisters - Persona 2 Innocent Sin Battle Theme

I'm looking for subjectively the best guide(s) for SMT3 fusion mechanic and what are your favorite OP builds?

I'm just struggling to get my head wrapped around fusions.

I'm actually quite pleased with how they turned out. Akihiko is the weirdest one but I can probably get used to him.

I heard this while listening to the song and now I can't unhear it. (Made this image on mobile in like 3 minutes.)

Not sold on Yukari's, but besides that they sound good. Shinjiro's and Ken's didn't do many roles before but I think it's safe to trust the voice director at Atlus West.

I love Fire Emblem game play, so this looks pretty fun. I wish it wasn't chibi-style art, but can't have everything, I guess.

New MegaTen spin off, looks like a hybrid between SMT and Persona. I'm stoked, it looks cool as hell.

The order I played in is kinda goofy. But I started with Persona 5 on Ps4 and got past the first dungeon before my ps4 died.

I gave up on Persona 5 but when smt iii came to the switch I thought I'd give it a try and I fell in love with it. Became a huge smt fan with my favorite probably being IV or then first Devil survivor. Currently playing P4G on my Vita.

Mine is definitely Virtue. I like most of the angels' designs but this is the best one.
