I'm trying to access a few sites that are on i2p. I'm on an arch system and I installed i2p via the aur. I've also tried i2pd as well and have the same problem. I'm able to connect to sites that are HTTP but not https. I start i2p and change the proxy settings in firefox to 127.0.0.1 :4444 for both HTTP and https. I've also tried port 4445 for SSL as I've also encountered that in some setup guides. I'm able to connect to my router at localhost:7657 so I assume the router is working and it's a browser config issue. I've also changed media.peerconnection.ice.proxy_only to true as the i2p guide suggested. I'm at a loss for what to do next. I'm able to connect to i2p-projekt.i2p which is an i2p http site, so then i2p is working???? Whenever I try other sites that https I get server not found. Thanks

Hello,

i am having problems installing the i2p easy installer bundle.

The I2P-Server is starting without problems but the Firefox Browser won't start. (the icon appears and i click on "start i2p-browser" but nothing happens, even after hours of waiting)

On Windows 10 i had no problems, but with Windows 11 the browser won't start.

I am using the newest Version of the Install Bundle (2.3.0).

Edit:

I can access the Router Console 127.0.0.1:7657, configure everything and I see inbound and outbound traffic. I just can't get Firefox to launch with the correct profile.

I would be glad if someone could help me out:)

had it working over a year or so fine had the proxy and everything setup thru fire fox on linux debian 11 and I installed it thru the console if that matters and after the most recent update it won’t connect to any pages I have saved in the directory knowing they are still running and I updated it thru the console the best I could to my knowledge and it still is not working

solved for me: after multiple restarts and i’m not sure if this was it but I usually had it on SOCKS 4 in the proxy settings just because it was on that and I switched it to 5 and everything is working now. wondering if that was the issue because I have restarted it multiple times beforehand

Sup y'all. So I am looking for a developer with experience using the i2pd libraries. I have a P2P project that I 'm currently working on and would like to integrate i2p into the software so that users would be able to route their network traffic through I2P, hiding sensitive information like their IP addresses and whatnot. I believe this will also solve the NAT traversal issue that we are struggling with at the moment. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Right now, I am using POSIX UDP sockets for communication between peers and I obviously can't use Tor as it does not provide native support for routing UDP traffic. More details about this issue can be found here.

I am willing to pay as well (my budget is $250-$300 if that's cool with you - can be negotiated as well). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for reading!~

I have created two bridge interfaces on the same host where i2p is running, and i wanted to make the HTTTP/S tunnels bind on either of them, but neither of the interfaces showed up in the dropdown with the listening addresses, in the tunnels settings. I have restarted i2p and stopped the tunnel before trying to change the setting.

The first bridge was created with nmtui, i've restarted NetworkManager, then restarted i2p

The second bridge is virbr0, the one created by qemu/libvirtd.

Both of them showed up in green when doing nmcli connection show, so the interfaces were both up i suppose.

Still, it's like i2p cannot detect them. I was able to have a bridge interface in that dropdown a few weeks ago, i can't remember how i managed back then :D

Any hints pls?

IIRC i have to add the bridge interface IP to some i2p config file, or some command line parameter, can't remember.

I’ve been trying to get this working for hours.

My I2p router says its connected:firewalled

But I cannot use it at all. The message I get from Firefox is “the proxy server is refusing connections” when I try to visit the i2p blog “i2p-projekt.i2p/en/blog”

The “latest” news in the router console is from October 12 2022. So I’m guessing its just not working at all.

I’ve configured the proxy for both edge and firefox and both behave the same.

Can anyone help?

I created an ansible role for i2pd. Basically, this allows system administrators who want to take part in the I2P network to automate i2pd deployment.

This role works on OpenBSD, Archlinux and Debian.

It doesn't expose all i2pd parameters yet, but it is sufficient to deploy quickly i2pd on machines controlled by ansible, especially on servers, and also allows to store tunnels keys (.dat files).

Ensure you run the installer as Administrator to avoid issues.
• Oracle Java JRE (>=1.8) or Microsoft OpenJDK 17 () recommended. For newer versions of the JRE, or alternative JDK packages, you may need to extract the install.jar from the self-extracting exe file and, as administrator, run the command: java -jar install.jar
• The installer will install I2P+ as a Windows system service and configure to automatically start at system boot (requires administrator privileges). Control of the service can be managed via or via the normal Windows methods e.g. services.msc or the task manager services tab.

title. i try starting the browser and it creates a process in task manager but there is no window nothing, shows up in system tray and i tried launching it from there with the same result. doesnt actually start the browser just creates like a "ghost" process or something. any fixes that dont involve reinstalling and waiting half a century for it to integrate again?

I'm trying to configure an I2P router on my local network, connecting via SSH. The commands I use are as follows:

ssh -fNL 7657:127.0.0.1:7657 [i2p@192.168.1.150](mailto:i2p@192.168.1.150)

ssh -fNL 4444:127.0.0.1:4444 [i2p@192.168.1.150](mailto:i2p@192.168.1.150)

After running these commands, localhost:7657 allows me to connect to the i2prouter. Using localhost:4444 does not work as an HTTP proxy for I2P. Is there something I'm missing?

I am a newbie to I2P and I successfully installed it on my Ubuntu 20.04 LTS VPS.

I2P router is running on of my VPS, whose IPv4 address is 49.12.47.149.

However, as I2P is installed on a VPS and not my Windows desktop, I am able to access it only via "ssh" from a Windows command prompt. Within "ssh", I use "elinks" browser on my VPS to browse the router console, I can see my eepsite .b32.i2p address.

I need to copy this .b32.i2p address so I can share it with my friends but there is no way I can do this in "elinks" or from an ssh terminal window in Putty.

I wish to ask you gurus whether there is any file either in /user/local/i2p or /root/.i2p that stores the b32.i2p address of the eepsite?

I am able to access the webpage from the localhost, 127.0.0.1:. But if I try to access it from a different computer on the lan, it doesn't work.

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me verify if I have I2P configured properly as I just recently noticed some changes in my firefox that happened just recently.

I essentially followed the guide here: and set my http proxy to localhost port 4444. I havnt had any problems with it, but just recently noticed my browser theme switched to the light version and I can no browser the clearnet in my firefox browser? (I was not able to do this before and I havnt not dont any updates to my router or anything). I am wondering why these changes have happened.

I uninstalled and reinstalled i2p. Now when i open i2p, it comes up in my edge browser, not Firefox. I still see the router in my Firefox, but no shared tunnels. It looks like its running but not. I also can't open containers, and when i open a new tab, i dont see the i2p logo. How can i get it off of edge and on Firefox again?

I dont know what i did. Should I unistall and start over? If i install in firefox should my problem be resolved?
