Hi! I'd love to share The Whims of the Gods with you - a cooperative city-building simulator with elements of strategy, logistics, and survival. In this world, it's not just about resources and planning - your fate also lies in the hands of ancient gods who watch your every move.

In The Whims of the Gods, I’ve combined core elements of classic city-builders - settlement growth, production chains, and citizen needs - with constant external challenges: natural disasters, threats from the mountains, and divine intervention. It’s all built around two-player co-op, where success depends on coordination and teamwork.

Wishlist on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2642390/The_Whims_of_the_Gods/

Short gameplay teaser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk3mLRg_8Os

Key Features:

Two-player co-op

The game is designed around collaboration. One player might handle logistics and construction, the other focuses on defense and tech. Clear role division is essential for survival.

Production chains and resource management

From housing to advanced production, you manage the city’s economy and supply lines, constantly adjusting to shifting conditions.

Auto-battle defense system

Creatures from the mountains periodically attack your city. Battles resolve automatically, but the outcome depends on how well you’ve prepared - with the right buildings, upgrades, and strategy.

Event calendar

An in-game event calendar alerts you to upcoming disasters, epidemics, monster raids, or bumper crops. You’ll need to plan ahead, build appropriate infrastructure, and prepare accordingly.

Religion and divine influence

The gods aren’t just watching - they get involved. You can build temples, earn blessings, and gain powerful effects… assuming the gods are pleased with your actions.

Volcanic pressure

An eruption is looming. It’s more than just an endgame event - it acts as a countdown timer, pushing you to act efficiently and meet divine goals before it’s too late.

Multiple endings

Your city’s fate depends on your choices. Will it thrive, or fall to ash and chaos?

If you're into thoughtful, atmospheric city-builders with co-op mechanics and dynamic challenges, I’d be happy to hear your feedback - or just chat about city-building games in general!

I’m Ken, the solo dev behind BattleGroupVR. I built the original because I wanted a space RTS where you command a fleet from the bridge of your own flagship, not some detached overhead view. You can see your fleet movements right out the window and be part of the action. Thanks to your amazing support, that dream came to life.

Now I’m back with a bigger, better sequel. This time, you’ll explore an open-world galaxy, take missions, mine, trade, and grow your fleet however you choose.

Right now, I’m working on open-world mission systems — dynamic contracts you can pick up across the galaxy, from bounty hunting to convoy escorts and more, all while building your reputation and fleet.

Both the Steam and Meta Quest pages are now live — wishlisting really helps visibility, and it means a ton as a solo dev.

If you're into sci-fi, VR, or tactical space sims, I’d love your support. And if you know someone who’d love this—share it their way! 🚀

Hey r/Games,

We released StarVaders about 2 months ago, and I'm still flabberghasted by the response. We just reached over 2000 Overwhelmingly Positive reviews! That's crazy, I thought we would be lucky if we reached 1000 reviews in its lifetime.

Wanted to thank the community and our playtesters for all your feedback and suggestions that made the game what it is today. (If I had one tip for other gamedevs, make sure you build the game WITH a community, and not by yourself)

- What is StarVaders -

  • A focus on the spatial intuitiveness of grid-based tactics games and the deep synergies of deckbuilding games
  • 3 Mech classes with distinct mechanics and 10 pilots with unique playstyles
  • 11 Card Packs randomly added to the card pool so runs feel fresh
  • Story Campaign & True Ending
  • Ascending Difficulties that introduce new gameplay mechanics
  • Challenge Modes and Daily Runs

We just launched our 1.1 Beach Episode update, which includes a new beach themed Card Pack, many new artifacts, and "Sandbox Settings".

  • Sandbox Settings is a new menu that lets you customize the gameplay to your liking.
  • For example, we had a few players who wished there were more granular ascension difficulties in the game, so I decided to add an optional toggle to increase the number of ascensions to make them more granular.
  • There are other toggles like that for players to play the game the way they want to, and there are also new options to ban certain packs or bosses from appearing during a run, which would help achievement hunting, or if you just dislike a certain mechanic.
  • If you have more suggestions for gameplay, feel free to let me know and I will see if I can implement it as an optional toggle!
  • Check out the full update notes here.

By the way, we are also on discount for 10% off for the Steam Summer Sale! You can also grab the game in a bundle for an additional 10% cheaper with some of the following games:

  • Cobalt Core
  • Monster Train 1 and Monster Train 2
  • As We Descend
  • Chrono Ark
  • Nova Drift

Future Plans??

  • I'm also excited to announce that we are selling well enough to be able to continue working on the game, with a planned update 1.2 and 1.3 coming later in the year! These will be big and exciting content updates I can't wait to reveal, they will make 1.1 look like nothing.

It really means the world to us that people out there are enjoying the game so much - makes all the time and passion we've put into it feel worth it. Thanks again for all the support and much love from the team,

-Axolotl of the Pengonauts

Ardenfall is a first-person immersive RPG set in a handcrafted world of ancient cultures, arcane magic, and political intrigue. Wander through stormy swamps, sweeping plains, and long-forgotten ruins teeming with danger. Encounter diverse characters with unique dialogue and quests. Align yourself with powerful factions and shape the future of the realm through your decisions.

The game is being crafted by a small team during our free time after work or study. And after years of work, we’re finally preparing for Early Access in Late 2025!

📹 Our Early Access Gameplay trailer

Key Features

  • Dynamic sandbox combat - summon monsters, mix magic with weapons, throw potions mid-fight - or just sneak past everything
  • A world that changes – factions remember your actions, quests can branch or break, and every NPC is killable
  • No handholding. You’ll read journals, ask questions, and figure things out yourself
  • Deep character builds – stats, class, gear, and even tattoos all matter
  • A compact open world – rich, dense biomes designed for exploration without filler

If you’re into Skyrim, Fallout: New Vegas, or other immersive RPGs, Ardenfall is something that might be your thing.

Thanks for reading! Adding us to your wishlist helps a ton 🙏

Dungeon Raid is my first game, and I made it entirely on my own. No studio, no team. Just one person who finally decided to stop waiting and start creating.

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BX_d4onxsrA

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3656720/Dungeon_Raid/

It all started when I dropped out of university. I felt like I was stuck in something that wasn’t mine. To make ends meet, I took two jobs - one by day, another by night. But when the world quieted down, I’d fire up my computer and get to work on my dream. Dungeon Raid was built during those late-night hours: step by step, day by day, week by week.

I had no experience in game development. Every mistake was mine, but so were every small success and breakthrough. In the beginning, nothing worked. But then, something simple clicked. A card system. Then an inventory system. Slowly, the game began to take shape.

There were moments I wanted to give up. When it seemed like nothing was going to work. But I kept going. Why? Because, for once, I wanted to finish something. And I did.

Dungeon Raid is a card-based roguelike where every decision is a risk. Every move could be your last, and death is part of the journey. But here’s the thing: you can always try again. And that mindset helped me not just in the game, but in life too.

It’s not perfect, but it’s real. No extra fluff - just what I wanted to create, with stubbornness and the belief that you can make something of your own, without a team or guarantees.

If you decide to give it a try - thank you. I hope the game resonates with you, just like it did with me.

Dungeon Raid - Features:

  • Unique Progression System Find doors to the next level and use keys to move forward - but be careful! One wrong move, and you’re dead. Every decision could be crucial.
  • Instinct-Based Roguelike Make quick decisions. Combine cards and items to level up your character, but watch out for traps and enemies.
  • One More Try You’ll never be fully prepared, but that’s the beauty of it. Every playthrough is unique and stays fresh even after multiple attempts. Trust your instincts and use your hero’s abilities to survive.
  • Full Gamepad Support Works with all controllers, including Steam Deck.
  • Stylish 2D Pixel Art Bright, detailed graphics that bring the world of Dungeon Raid to life.

What You’ll Get:

  • 6 Unlockable Heroes Each with unique abilities and spells that change your playstyle.
  • Tons of Cards and Items Unlock new cards and items to build different strategies.
  • 10+ Unique Bosses Over 10 bosses, each requiring a special approach to defeat.
  • Card Upgrades If the game is too hard, you can upgrade your cards to make things easier.

I thought this dev log from the DSP team was really fascinating. It’s rare to see that kind of technical transparency shared with players on such a granular level.
