This past Super Bowl saw a few guys who were teammates on national championship teams go on to win the Super Bowl together as well. Some examples I can think of off the top of my head are:

  • Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith (2017 Alabama)

  • DeVonta Smith and Landon Dickerson (2020 Alabama)

  • Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Nakobe Dean, Jordan Davis, Lewis Cine, Kelee Ringo (2021 Georgia)

  • Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Kelee Ringo (2022 Georgia)

Sadly, I wish I could've included Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase from 2019 LSU on here, but they lost to the Rams a few years ago.

Who are some other Natty and SB-winning teammates that come to mind?

The brother of current K-State OC Matt Wells, Luke has coached at mostly Tight Ends or WRs at TTU, Utah State, Iowa State, and Tulsa. He played QB for the Oklahoma Sooners from ‘97 to ‘99.

Watching Joel Klatt's show today, someone asked him the question of what stadiums are the most underrated. We already know of the greats like Tiger Stadium, Neyland, the Big House, the Shoe, the Coliseum, so on and so forth. But what are some really quality, really exciting stadiums that people don't think as much about, particularly in the G5 or even FCS?

I've spent a lot of time thinking about this. My guess is the Big 10 and SEC completely leave the NCAA to form their own football league along with some number of "valuable schools" from other leagues. I have no idea if that will be sustainable or what that would do to the rest of college football.

My Horns have gone 12-2 and 13-3 in the past two seasons. Made it to the CFP quarterfinals twice. To me, that is the definition of success. And yet, I hear a lot of chatter that anything less than a Natty will be a failure this coming year. I hear the same sort of stuff from Georgia fans. Am I just not smoking the right crack?

It's the offseason so it's time to post extremely specific and weird things until August comes around. These are the first games each FBS team ever played against a team not from its own state or a neighboring state, sorted by date.

I find this an intriguing thought experiment, and it’s the offseason so what the hell. They’ve been SO successful for SO many years. They are THE villain even after Saban retired. If they suddenly CRATERED for X amount of years, how many years would X have to be for you specifically to feel sorry for them?

And don’t be a coward and say “never,” give a real number! As an analogue, Nebraska’s been 10 years of pain (although 27 since their last championship), and people are feeling bad for them already.

Greg publicly shared his battle with cancer and this truly sad news is not surprising. He'd been the voice of Husker football and baseball since 2008, when he came to Lincoln by way of Manhattan, Kansas.

His professional approach to broadcast was met with an equal depth of emotion and heart. Hug your announcers and family tight. RIP Greg

I did this last year and thought it was fun off season talk, so doing it again this off season.

In 1925 Wyoming was part of the Rocky Mountain Conference which still exists today as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference consisting of D2 schools primarily in Colorado. We ended up with a 6-3 record and conference champs were Colorado Agricultural (Colorado State)

We have two common opponents in the 1925 schedule with Utah and Colorado State

Four of our 1925 opponents are now D2 teams (UNK, Western, Mines and Regis) , Montana State and Northern Colorado are FCS teams
