I found Eco-Max for household cleaning products, and Simply Go for skincare, but I don't know of any Canadian company that sells the following:

  • Deodorant
  • Body soap / body wash
  • Shampoo & conditioner
  • Facewash

I've been looking for a couple weeks for good public cloud options I can use that are not US based.

I tried OVH but my account was flagged as suspicious upon signing up so I can't use any of their public cloud services.

I just signed up for Hetzner, but I'd prefer Canadian based servers.

Sharing the boutique link to Oral Science, a Quebec-based company selling a number of dental brands.

I’ve noticed drug stores sell very few options for dental products - generally 50 redundant variations of the same 3 toothpastes. I’m a dental professional and recommend many of these products in my practice - I he company now has a boutique open to the public to make these items easier to access!

One Canadian option is Cari0 toothpaste, which was developed by a Montreal dental researcher - this one is fluoride free.

They also sell Curaprox toothpaste (a Swiss company) which does contain fluoride and is minimally abrasive.

Other star products are the Curaprox interdental brushes (lots of sizes for any size of space between your teeth that traps food) and Xylimelts (a saliva-stimulating lozenge for those with dry mouth)

I mentioned a list of Canadian retailers that I started in a thread about avoiding Amazon (https://old.lemmy.sdf.org/post/32698876) and [email protected] suggested that I post it here. So here it is:

If you're not on Github and you want to make an addition, pm me with the store name and a link. :)

The Ground News team is based in Kitchener, Canada, and is made up of a small team of media industry outsiders. I fully expect this to be an “I don’t think there’s any good replacement” scenario, but I’d love to hear some options. I also know that this isn’t a good time to really make expensive purchases, and I don’t plan to make the purchase, but I’d like to hear people’s thoughts and bits of knowledge on smartwatches, or fitness-tracking watches / wearables.

So what’s your non-US, non-CN (yeah I have more than just a non-US constraint) option? Anything good out there?

I know there might be a revive of the Pebble but it’s not great for fitness tracking, and there’s no plan to go in that direction for now. And it might still be a US product.

I have a grip strengthening thing. It's a fidget tool and is helping with some blood flow issues to my hands.

I was going to get a stronger model as the medium one is a little too easy. Is there a Canadian version of this thing?

An IPA-style beer using 100% Canadian ingredients, to be sold by dozens of local brewries across the country with representation from all 10 provinces (& Yukon so far). A portion of proceeds will go to Canadian NFPs or charities. A recipe is also available for homebrewers.

I have been a Pringles lover for more than a decade, and it's time for me to find an alternative one. I like the saddle-shape and I don't know which brand provides it.

r/BuyFromEU suggests some local brands, but that's not my case:

Any suggestions? Thank you

Frank and Oak is Canadian owned (based in Montreal) but produced elsewhere. I've purchased one item from them and was really impressed. Their online shop is remaining open.
