yea I don't wanna change just to be hip, I literally don't know the differences between distros, I'm just wondering if I'm missing out on something, not in like the way gui and animations works, but the other stuff

Hi, how's it going? I've been daily driving mint with i3 for a while now, (takes like 500mb idle ram) but I always hear mint being called a newbie distro, I know arch is harder to set up and more customizable for example, but overall im wondering, in which cases one would go from mint to another distro? what can make other distros "better" than mint? i'll end up using a window manager (i3 or if thats not availible some other lightweight one) so differences in desktop environments i dont really care that much about

I don't really like mobile, even less with all the constant changes towards (more) mobile surveillance, i just included it as another versatility thing (in case i ever need to build mobile) but python can be used to build things with UI? like with a good way to write UI for your programs? I see python mostly on cli

Hi, how's it going? I was looking up mechanical keyboards and people saying they feel so much better to use (my membrane doesn't feel to bad at all so it really intrigues me how something could be better, I've never tried mechanical keyboards before)

And alongside that, I wonder if a mechanical keyboard can be as quiet/quieter than a regular membrane keyboard, I don't wanna bother the humans around me with loud af clicky noises.

Heyy, I'm learning programming and trying to choose a focus, I saw you can make web/backend w node, desktop (bloatware but discord uses it so if it works it works), games (not AAA and not optimized for performance but it shouldn't matter for indie too much) Is there anything that compares? I wanna focus on one thing instead of spreading myself over a ton of languages, I do feel js is interesting for this, but I'm just starting out, so looking to hear some thoughts of people more familiar with programming.
