Thank you for taking the time to reply and share your experience with me. I really appreciate it❤️ I think I needed to hear this from someone who has been through something similar. Lol ngl, I was genuinely ready to leave everything behind for him, even my city, because I truly saw a future with him. But he was someone who kept putting his own comfort above everything else. He would even ignore me while we were walking together, busy texting his friends, and I’d feel like I wasn’t even there. I used to cry almost 10 days every month because he kept dismissing my needs and making me feel like I was asking for too much..

Thank you so much for your kind words❤️ I was literally starting to believe that losing him was the biggest regret of my life because I thought he was the one and that everything was my fault. I've been blaming myself so much, wondering if things would have worked out if I'd done things differently. But reading your comment made me feel a little better and reminded me that there's still so much life ahead of me. I genuinely needed to hear this today. Thank you for giving me a little hope when I was feeling so lost.. I hope you always stay happy:)

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful response. ❤️ Your words genuinely mean a lot to me, especially the part about not letting one person dictate how I see myself. I think I've started measuring my worth through his actions, and that's something I really need to work on. The dishonesty hurt me deeply because I trusted him and genuinely believed in the future he promised me.

I don't have many people to turn to right now, so reading kind words like yours helps more than you might realise. I'll definitely look into the book you mentioned. My exams are approaching, and I really want to get my focus back and slowly rebuild myself. Thank you for reminding me that I deserve to see myself with the same kindness that others might see in me.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read my story and share their perspectives. I'm genuinely struggling to make sense of everything, and your responses have helped me reflect on things I couldn't understand on my own.

But Was emotionally cheating on me really necessary? If he wanted to explore other girls or experience life outside our relationship, why couldn't he just be honest with me and end things instead of keeping me emotionally attached with promises of love and a future together? I could have been heartbroken, but at least I would have had the truth and the choice to walk away. What hurts the most is that he kept reassuring me that I was the person he wanted to spend his life with, only for me to discover that he was exploring other possibilities behind my back.

I know I wasn't perfect. I was emotionally dependent on him and sometimes struggled to give him space, partly because he had threatened to leave me so many times before. I keep wondering whether things would have been different if I had handled my anxiety better. But I also wonder whether I'm blaming myself for choices that were entirely his responsibility.

One more thing I wanted to share is that this relationship has really affected my self esteem. I've started doubting myself and feeling like I'm not good enough. Sometimes I suddenly start crying or feeling anxious, and I find myself punishing myself emotionally for things that happened in the relationship. I've even started avoiding mirrors because looking at my face or body makes me question my worth. I know this isn't healthy, but I don't know how to stop feeling this way. It's like his choices have somehow made me question my own worth, even though I know I tried my best to love him...

About cheating.....He bought Bumble Premium, talked to 6 ...7 girls, put up a bio saying he was looking for a long term relationship, shared his photos and contact details (Instagram and Telegram) with them, and entertained some girls' sexual fantasies while he was still with me....nd behaving loving but slightly distant like less phone calls nd all....My hands still tremble whenever I remember seeing the photos of the girls he was talking to when I opened his phone.

My exams are near, and I feel like I've lost myself completely. I don't even have any hobbies to distract myself with.

But one thing I still don't understand is, was emotionally cheating on me really necessary? If he wanted to explore other girls or experience life outside our relationship, why couldn't he just be honest with me and end things instead of repeatedly promising me a future together? I would have been heartbroken, but at least I would have had the truth. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and share your perspective. I genuinely appreciate it. ❤️

Thank you for explaining this. I think I was holding on to the good moments and the future he promised me, hoping things would eventually work out. It's hard to accept that we kept repeating the same cycle, because I genuinely believed we could make it work. Maybe I was too focused on his potential and the person I knew he could be, rather than accepting the reality of our relationship. I still don't know whether he genuinely loved me or not, but I'm slowly realizing that I don't need to figure that out to accept that things weren't working.

But one thing I still struggle to understand is, was cheating on me really necessary? If he wanted to explore, talk to other girls, or experience life outside our relationship, why couldn't he just tell me honestly and end things before doing that

Thank you for being honest with me and sharing your perspective. I understand that you don't know the whole story, and I appreciate you trying to help me see things differently. I know it's possible to care about someone and still be incompatible, and I can accept that we both made mistakes. I think what hurts me most is the cheating and how suddenly his words changed. I keep wondering how someone who was talking about fighting for our future minutes earlier could turn around and treat me that way. I'm trying to understand things without blaming myself for everything, and your replies have genuinely helped me reflect on that.

I loved him so much. I stayed awake when he was sick, cried when he was sad, and shared all his pain. But he eventually said we were incompatible and left me. Now I keep wondering if our breakup was my fault. If I had been less emotionally dependent and given him more space, would he have stayed and been faithful, or am I just blaming myself for his choices?

He was the one who proposed to me first, telling me how much he loved me, and I accepted his proposal. Everything was going smoothly. Then, after his birthday, he told me he was feeling emotionally drained and wanted to break up with me. This was the first time I pleaded and begged him to stay. The next day, he agreed to stay, and things became lovey dovey again.

The second time, he said he couldn't commit to me because of his family. I cried and begged him to stay, but eventually, I accepted the situation. After that, we took some space, and a month later, he came back and confessed his love for me again. He said he wanted to commit to me and spend his whole life with me.

After that, everything was going fine again. The third breakup happened when he said he was exhausted and was the kind of person who couldn't feel love every day. He said I was too emotional, needed reassurance, and was emotionally dependent on him. But the main reason I kept asking for reassurance was that he had already threatened to leave me twice. I was afraid he would leave again because he had already done it before.

As for emotional dependency, he was the kind of person who could spend an entire day alone without texting or calling me. Whenever we talked, i was usually the one who initiated the conversation.

The fourth breakup happened when he was talking to other girls. Everything seemed fine, but I noticed that he was becoming distant. I had a gut feeling that something was wrong, so I asked him what was going on and how he was feeling. He then told me he wanted to break up because I seemed like AI, we lived far away from each other, and he needed an emotional connection. He wanted a girl he could hug and someone who could be physically closer to him.

I asked him if he was talking to someone else or wanted to date someone who lived closer to him. I told him that if that was the case, he could be honest with me.

Then I remembered something he had once told me that whenever he wanted to leave, he would come back to me like a boomerang. He had also told me that I didn't have an ego, that I always tried to stop him from leaving because I was a good person, and that he loved me.

So, once again, I tried to stop him from leaving. The next day, he agreed to stay, and he sent me another lovey dovey message. He said he saw a future with me, wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, and wanted to become a better person for me. He even called me his emotional anchor and said I had brought him out of darkness. He said I was the kind of girl he could see himself spending his life with.

Everything seemed fine again. Then he came to meet me, and while scrolling through his phone, I came across his ChatGPT history. I found things that made me realise he had been exploring other girls and sexual possibilities.

When I confronted him about it, he said, Now you have a valid reason to leave me. You can leave me. He also said he no longer had any feelings for me and that he was emotionally drained.

It was the same person who, just a few minutes earlier, had been telling me that he loved me. But after I confronted him about what I had found, he suddenly said he didn't love me anymore and told me I could leave him.

I understand that I may have contributed to our relationship problems, but how am I supposed to make sense of all these things? It makes me question whether he genuinely wanted to be with me or was just keeping me around

if he felt guilty about not wanting to continue, why did he repeatedly leave me crying, begging him to stay, and unable to sleep? He was the one who told me I was his choice and that he could change his choice. Just minutes before I caught him cheating, he was talking about fighting for us, but after I confronted him, he smirked and told me to leave because now I had a “valid reason” to break up with him. He even said I was the reason for everything and that I was no longer his priority. Then, just 14 days after our breakup, he sent a gift to a girl he had a crush on a year ago on her birthday

Was our breakup my fault? If I had been less emotionally dependent and given him more space, would he have stayed and been faithful, or was I blaming myself for his choices? Another thing I found in his ChatGPT history was that he said he urgently needed s....x. He also mentioned that his friends brought girls over and that they were having fun in the room next to his, which was distracting him. What I don't understand is how someone can keep a girl emotionally attached to him by repeatedly saying he loves her and wants to spend his life with her, while apparently thinking about other girls and s....

I’m honestly struggling to make sense of everything because he did show me care and affection at times, which makes it hard for me to believe that he never loved me. But the repeated breakup threats and betrayal really hurt me.

Yes you're right. I think deep down, I have this feeling that he didn't love me as much as I loved him. If he truly loved me, I keep wondering why he repeatedly threatened to leave me and left me crying all those nights, begging him to stay and unable to sleep. And why would he cheat and sext other girls while being in a relationship with me? I know I'll never fully understand what was going on in his mind, but it's so hard to accept that someone I loved so deeply could make those choices.

Yes, I understand what you mean, but some people are saying we had an anxious avoidant attachment dynamic. I was anxious and emotionally dependent, while he needed space and became distant. He did care for me in some ways, and when I begged him to stay, he sometimes did, which makes me wonder if he genuinely loved me or stayed because he felt guilty. I'm honestly confused about how much of this was our unhealthy dynamic and how much was his own choices. But why did he cheat on me if he truly loved me? I cried on his shoulder and begged him to stay on our last day together, even after discovering his betrayal.

I keep wondering why he cheated when he had me, someone who genuinely loved him, was loyal to him, and wanted a future with him. What was missing? Why wasn't my love enough for him? I compare myself to the girls he talked to and keep questioning my worth. Even after 32 days of no contact, I still miss him and sometimes want to try again. How do I stop blaming myself and understand that his choices don't define my worth?

He told me we were incompatible and that I should leave him after I confronted him about cheating. Was I really incompatible with him, or was he just looking for a reason to leave?

I was completely devoted to him and genuinely loved him. I thought he was my everything because there were days when he showed me genuine care and made me feel loved. But he also threatened to break up with me four times. Every time he became distant, I got scared that he would leave again, so I kept questioning his commitment. I would beg him not to leave, and he would eventually reassure me by saying I was his choice. But he also told me he could change his choice anytime and that I was his zero priority.

He blamed me for having trust issues and being emotionally dependent on him, and I know I became anxious and needed reassurance. But those repeated breakup threats affected me, too.

Things got worse when I came across his ChatGPT history and found him asking how to impress girls. I also found out he had said he urgently needed sex because his friends regularly brought girls over to have fun in the next room. It completely shattered my trust. I was genuinely committed to him, and discovering these things broke me.

I'm struggling to understand how someone who made me feel so loved sometimes could also make me feel so replaceable. Right now, I'm just trying to get through each day and learn how to live without someone I thought was my future.

Going through a painful breakup rn (self.relationship_advice)

My ex and I were together for around 1.5 years in an LDR. He had tried to break up with me around 4 times before, but I would plead with him and he would come back, tell me he loved me, and talk about our future and marriage.

This September, he came to meet me, and that's when I found out he had been using a dating app, swiping on women, sexting at least one woman, and sharing his WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram with girls. He said there was no physical connection, but I still consider it cheating.

He also told me that his family was his responsibility while I was a choice, and that he could change his choice but couldn't leave his responsibility.

What confuses me is that before all this, he was still talking about our future and marriage and acting committed. Now I'm trying to understand what actually happened and how much of the relationship had already changed from his side.

I also pushed away a close friend becnause my ex had issues with him. I became distant, blocked him and eventually ghosted him because I was so focused on my relationship. After the breakup, I finally reached out to that friend, but he saw my messages and didn't reply.

Now I feel like I lost a genuine friend because I gave so much of myself to a relationship that ended anyway. Most people don't know about the cheating, so they probably think we simply broke up because we were incompatible and I was too dependent.
