Jason Blum Is Still Trying to Will a Blumhouse 'Friday the 13th' Movie into Existence

It's been almost 15 years at this point since the last F13 was in the theater and it was a pretty long stretch between Goes to Hell and 09 (Freddy vs Jason notwithstanding). So hard to believe a franchise I grew up seeing regularly in the cinema has languished this long without a proper entry.
Especially with Halloween's recent revival (and missteps) as well as Terrifiers huge numbers, the time is ripe for a full slasher resurgence. It'd be awesome to have Jason lead the way with a traditional, old school boobs and blood entry.
I don't know that Wan and Blumhouse are the studio to do it, but that certainly seems to have had the right spirit in the past.
