I'm 38 and can only agree that's how I expect life at 40 to be

[-] [email protected] 20 points 2 years ago

43 here. Hills are tough.

[-] [email protected] 8 points 2 years ago

Exactly, I'm 38 also, and this is already like 90% true. Just need a good walking stick.

I know I will soon die

We should all remind ourselves that fact

[-] [email protected] 29 points 2 years ago

Speak for yourself. I intend to live forever.

Terenas: What is this? What are you doing, my son?

Arthas: Succeeding you, Father...

"Thanks to denial, I'm immortal!"

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Pretty sure thats literally the premise behind the immortal man in The Sandman.

Memento mori

[-] [email protected] 33 points 2 years ago

I am forty. My biggest fear is surviving another 40 years. I hope I can die soon.

And not 1 mentioned depression and debt.

[-] [email protected] 21 points 2 years ago

Or "sleep" turning from a refreshing undertaking into "wake up more exhausted than before bit now your back hurts"

[-] [email protected] 10 points 2 years ago

And you have to go back to work

[-] [email protected] 10 points 2 years ago

Sounds more like OP has to go work on the back. Haha!!

Yeah, bad puns are also something terrible that happens when turning 40.

I'll be 36 next month. I let myself slept in this morning until I woke up. I have a crick in my neck and the left side of my lumbar spine is a dull mass of burning discomfort. I'd rather sleep 6.5 hours every night than wake up feeling like this every day.

They did. They just spoke metaphorically.

[-] [email protected] 27 points 2 years ago

I know I will die soon

This cracked me up way more than it should have

[-] [email protected] 21 points 2 years ago

That does sound like how I felt at 40.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago

I started finding gray hairs around then

[-] [email protected] 19 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Ya'll need to put the bong down and get up out of your gaming chairs every so often and move more. I'm 41 and I don't feel like this.

[-] [email protected] 13 points 2 years ago

Are you talking to the 8 & 9 year-olds?

[-] [email protected] 10 points 2 years ago

They shouldn't be doing drugs either.

[-] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago

Y'all need to fidget spin into a gym, don't smoke a drug and yolo the bible, cuz

[-] [email protected] 11 points 2 years ago

Lolz! Kids are stupid... those are things that happen when you're 50

[-] [email protected] 11 points 2 years ago

As someone who got fibromyalgia in their 20s, that's what life is like.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago

Man those kids were spot on. Eerily accurate.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

They were off base, but not by enough.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago
[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I am 40 and ready to die.

So its half accurate.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Well the gray hair is partly true, at least.

Sincerely, graying 40yo
