The app has an amazing experience so far, because it feels like I'm just using Apollo, heaps of baked in features that no other app has so far. It's a web app so installation is pretty forward. Much love to the Devs!

(Side note: please change the name to something better. I recommend the name Voyager to keep up with the theme)

Installation:

Update:

Having issues? It's to do with rate limitations, this should be resolved soon but right now you can Use:

https://w.opnxng.com/settings/install

Here's the Dev's notes on that:

Great app, thank you for this !

Just installed it to my Home Screen. Acts just like an app. I’m new to these web app type things and spaced instances, but baby steps.

This already seems a lot better than Reddit.

I've been using Memmy as it is an actual app and not a web app, and it has a theme actually designed by Christian Selig, the developer of Apollo. Plus it allows logging in to any Lemmy instance and not just the most popular ones.

Thunder and Memmy both have swipe interactions as well and they’re not web apps.

Yeah, I've been using Mlem and Memmy. Mlem reminds me more of Apollo design-wise, but Memmy now is a bit more usable. Still, all of the suggestions are great.

I’ve been mostly flopping between Memmy and Thunder. Both are quite functional. Memmy seems a bit snappier and Thunder has a nice, clean UI.

Haven't tried Thunder yet, but it indeed does resemble Mlem from the looks of it.

How do I save an image from a post to my phone?

So I’m weird and don’t actually have any apps on my Home Screen. I just use Spot Light and the the App Library screen. Is there anyway to get a web app to show up on the App Library? Because I don’t like how this one app is different from everything else on my phone and has to live on the Home Screen.

Other than that, I agree! It’s a pretty sweet app this far.

thanks for posting it, hand no idea this existed 🥰 only downside is having to switch account for certain actions, it would be cool to have everything in one place

It’d be great if I could login. It keeps saying I have the wrong password, but I copied right from LastPass like I do here lol.

It's been extremely buggy today. I want to love it, but it's just not there yet.

It's pretty good but so far, I prefer Connect for Lemmy. They are both close though.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I use connect but am considering trying out Wefwef as well. Can I know why you prefer Connect?

@Demigod787

I'm waiting for the option to block communities and people. then I will be able to happily use wefwef.

edit, I'm not against anybodeyor anything, but there are times that some entity gets spammy.

It's pretty good, but lacking at least one very fundamental possibility:

You cannot comment on another comment with wefwef You cannot downvote a comment

Wow it looks reaaaaally good. Doesn’t seem to be a dark mode though?!

Also, praying for marking posts as READ as we scroll past them. Best Apollo feature

web app so installation is pretty straight forward.

Ugh.

Web apps only work if you have a launcher that supports home screen icons. Not everyone does

So, no way of installing it for me, not straightforward 🤣

I dont get it why there is a c/proprietarysoftware aka [email protected] on a open source software like lemmy? I thought apple enthusiasts doesnt like open source at it is not safe?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

iOS runs on Darwin which is open source and free
