Arguably not as fun as either main series Sims, or its close cousin Crusader Kings

I would like Crusader Kings a lot more if CK3 wasn't lost in the DLC slop spiral that's apparently the trademark of Paradox Games

Is there a sci-fi Crusader Kings equivalent?

It's also a very bad sims game.

Yeah, more of a "visual novel using the 'sims' engine". If you were expecting "the sims" but with medieval architecture and activities, then that's not what this is at all.

You can think of any word and it would probably have a sims game or dlc related to it. It is a very popular franchise but the amount of dlcs they have for some of them has to be illegal.

Is there a Sims, but on Deep Space 9? Because that would be dope as hell.

    Maybe this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Station_13

I've never played it, but everything I've heard about it has sounded bonkers.

Or Rimworld with the Odyssey expansion and some mods?

Now imagine if there were an early 2000s Sims MMO but it's just a chatroom with limited house design gameplay and a focus on career progression.

Or maybe one where you wash up in the bayou and deal with vampires by getting a cookbook on how to make chocolate which, of course, cures vampirism, and you get arrested for running because Daddy Bigbucks took over the city and made it illegal while he works on his time machine to stake a land claim in the past, leading you to build your own time machine to stop him. Unless you buy the console version instead of the handheld, in which case maybe some rap group popular in the 2000s could score the game and one of the rappers, say, will.i.am, could help the player learn new dance moves to get into clubs.

Or maybe they could take the Sims 2: Pets expansion and spin it off into 3 different standalone games with the same name that differ by console, like one where it's just a more advanced version of the Sims 2: Pets, but in another you play as a vet and treat cats and dogs for various diseases, while in another you learn new tricks to teach your pet as you lead them through competitions. They could even spin off a spa sequel from the vet one.

Maybe they could make a spinoff where you create up to 6 sims who get washed up on an island a la Castaway and have to explore and build transports to get to subsequent islands with the goal of escaping back to civilization.

Or maybe even one where all the sims are chibis and you have to redevelop a rundown town using building blocks instead of a catalog, with 5 of its own spinoffs, including another Medieval!

Could have a couple freemium phone versions with zero sim autonomy where you can buy premium furniture items to become a VIP user and events require waiting real-world time to complete.

Truly, the possibilities available to Maxis (RIP) are endless!

  • I miss that game. I’ve tried to get it again recently, but can’t get it to work on my computer. So frustrating.

I fucking love Sims Medieval. The little stories, the crafting, loved it all.
