You'll be so efficient thanks to AI, you'll be able to work 2 jobs, 3 days each for a total of 6 days with a generous 1 day a week off!

Single income household? You bet. Thanks to job losses you'll be lucky for one person in a household to have a job, forget about two.

I sure am glad I live in a society where not being able to work isn't a problem and won't result in me being homeless and starving!

Say goodbye to working Fridays—or possibly ever working at all. That’s the future that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos predicts AI could bring.

"could" doing heavy amounts of lifting here. We all know capital would never let it.

low key feels like he's trying to tap into the trad crowd by framing it as the return of single income households

Oh fuck oh shit our bullshit of telling investors that our technology is so powerful that it frightens us is backfiring! Quick, switch to capitalist utopian bullshit!

When these CEOs make this claim, they are envisioning the white-collar tech and finance class from which they spawned to be receiving this benefit, and not the working class that is actually essential to a functioning society.

Yup that's the rub. AI is really good at doing white collar office work, so I'm picturing it in their minds those jobs being outsourced to grok and themselves paid to sit at home. MEANWHILE the actual backbreaking work that keep society functioning, like say garbage removal, will remain in place and probably the workers will just be enslaved with bomb collars.

I am not surprised to find out that Jeff Bezos doesn't actually understand how capitalism works.

Ah yes, the thing people have been predicting since the 1920's is surely be at hand thanks to this latest productivity-increasing innovation.

porky-happy: “Why aren’t we doing that now? What’s going to keep us from going back on this promise? No more questions, poor. Just go back to starving!”

This seems like the porky-happy version of "A vote for Bart is a vote for Anarchy!"
