As an autism, I don't enjoy people letting me ramble about something. You gotta engage and ask good questions or it feels like you're just humoring me like in the meme. Then I get self conscious for expecting people to labor for my conversation 😮💨

I enjoy engaging with anyone who's passionate about something, even if I have no idea what they are talking about. I know too many people without a passion for something and I can't relate to them at all.
To be my friend you must have a passion for something, even if it's not the same stuff I'm passionate about. I can still resonate with that energy.
I have a friend really into crochet and that's so not my thing, but I enjoy listening to her talk about it anyway.
I do this to others. I love passion and energy.
I wish others would do it back. Only a handful of people in my life ever have. I can see people's eyes glaze over, it's happened so often.
All the time. I feel like slapping my face all the time at humanity... We can't be this dumb. Some rando figures out a weakness and exploits the system until extreme poverty happens. Same for the generation of things like racism, sexism and well, autism too. We're not different. We're just wired differently so we are able to see the patterns that others can't. That's all. Different like a rose is different from a different rose.
Why do we need to talk about things we are passionate about to someone who is not interested in it? That makes no sense to me.
I love to learn. I find that listening to someone talk about things they are passionate about nets me a huge boon of information, minutia, and observations I could have never made myself.
Much of it I will not remember, but some of it is absolute top tier, high value knowledge that I would have never been able to distill out of whatever genre, without a similar investment as them.
I also love to see people excited, and to get to play in that with them.
I info dump because it is the human condition to default assume others are kind of like you. And also, I'm looking for those people. I'll pick up on your cues pretty quick if you hate it though.
People who don't, I assume are incapable of seeing the cues, especially if they are otherwise visibility autistic.
Neurotypicals who do this, I'm almost certain just don't care about others at all.

Is it? I generally would assume it is a higher chance they would not be interested (conditional on that person being someone I don't know).
But in any case I think it is mostly because I can't explain complex stuff very easily to someone not acquainted with the topic so I find it useless to try. And I don't suspect I am neurodivergent, atleast largely.
I tend to think everyone is at least as smart as I am, and I get really disappointed when they are dumber cuz I'm pretty fucking dumb.
I have come to realize people who spend time in certain topics become "smart" in them (i.e they can make connections others can't make or have dexterity of thought regarding questions, problems, ideas on that topic). In this can be pretty much limited to that topic or its immediate neighbors. So every such statement should be evaluated conditional to the topic and the person's experience with it. Of course I have met couple people in my life that could make deep comments on topics they have even met for the first time but that is a separate category of people.
This is my girlfriend when I'm just firing off random thoughts from my day <3
