German factory orders fell sharply in August, largely due to a drop in orders in transport equipment manufacturing, data from Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) showed on Tuesday.

Another reason to get tougher on China I would say. It would be an awakening for both countries. Germany' factories have been experiencing very volatile new order numbers in recent years. What could be more telling is that Chinese factories have been seen a sharp drop in new factories orders this summer when the numbers dropped to a 3-year low in Juli. Not even strong Chinese exports were able to counter a persistently weak Chinese domestic consumer confidence and consumption.

Imagine what would happen to Chinese companies if foreign markets in Europe and other regions would close their markets in a similar way as China has been doing for decades.
