A contradiction in the reporting has been that there was originally a woman who called in a tip about the suspects, but hours later, Trump and the US military said that they were surveilling the suspects long before the suspects were arrested.

I know today's incident near RAF Fairford will be deeply concerning for local residents and for many people following developments across the country.

My thanks go to Gloucestershire Police, Counter Terrorism Policing, our Armed Forces and all those working to keep the public safe.

I am especially grateful to those residents who have been asked to leave their homes while precautionary checks are carried out.

The safety and security of the public is our first priority, and I want people to know that we will always take every step necessary to protect our communities and keep our country safe.

Telegraph UK newspaper published photos of the vans allegedly involved in the incident. The vans had fake logo of a company called 'Fuel2u'. The real company 'Fuel2u' published a statement on their website denying involvement in the incident.

We are extremely concerned that our company’s name have been used without our knowledge or permission. We are cooperating fully with the relevant authorities and will assist them with any enquiries.

Fuel2U strongly condemns any unlawful or dangerous activity. We thank the police, emergency services and specialist teams for their continuing work to protect the public and investigate this matter.
