Assuming time, money, living situation, and the law wasn't a factor. I'd love a skunk. I'd name her Oreo and i'd love her and she'd be my best friend.

Probably this thing called an Aye aye.

When I have guests over, I wouldn't tell them I have it, but I'd train it to sneak up on them in the night and stick it's weird finger in their ear

Quokkas are adorable little shits, I'd love to have one as a pet.

My cat. I left home for a bit, I come back to see she's gone. Nobody told me or anything. I know she's fine wherever she is, but I still miss her.

If going of imagination, I want a polar bear. Yeah they're dangerous, but if we assume they're pets then they're just a giant fluff ball.

pet skunks are a thing, you have to get its anal glands surgically removed though.

You don’t have to. You can train them not to spray as long as you get them as a kit. I’ve known a few people with skunks that they raised from babies that didn’t get their scent glands removed.

Dragon. And anyone who says otherwise isn’t being completely honest with themselves. Everyone wants a dragon.

The post doesn't say anything about feasibility/safety, so unless you can find dragon tamers for hire and a dragon-proof construction company, you'd likely end up dead and/or with an escaped dragon.

Also, it was about any pet in the world, so I guess that requires dragons to exist somewhere, sounds like a gamble on if they do...

You say all that like my safety is a concern. Yeah I want a dragon, yeah I don't care if it eats me. Either it's a cool dragon and my best friend or it's an evil dragon and I get to unleash it upon the world. I'm not seeing a downside.

I'd have my cat. If the devil came acallin' I'd sell my soul for me and the lil guy to be immortal. I could spend eternity in his company and it wouldn't be enough.

Me too. We're having to put our little guy to sleep tonight, he's too ill. They're pretty sure it's cancer, but he's not stable enough for diagnosis let alone treatment. The poor guy's had basically a soda can's worth of fluid drained from his chest cavity twice in the last 2 months.

My wife is hurting worse than me. He got her through the pandemic, and they really bonded. I opened the cat flap this morning and pulled out his food before I remembered he was gone. Been a tough Saturday.
Sorry about your friend, it's worse when they go suddenly with no warning. Sending hugs.

My sincerest sympathies. You can comfort yourself with the fact that you're doing the right thing for him by ending his illness and whatever discomfort/pain there may be.

We had to do the same with our little guy last year. He had kidney problems, and we gave him a saline drip twice a day for about a year. He never complained. But at a certain point you have to consider that you're just prolonging their suffering, as hard as that is to accept.

That's him away now. I'm just happy he wasn't hurting yet. With the way things were going he probably would have had massive heart failure which is hardly pleasant.

Here's a picture of the wee man just before the vet came.

You can get a dragonfly on a flexible arm that clips to your hat. Apparently it works pretty well, bugs see a dragonfly floating around your head and fuck right off.

    I'm assuming it's a fake dragonfly?

I'll wear the world's most ridiculous hat if it meant mosquitos left me alone. But I don't want a live dragonfly or anything, that's not cool

I have answered this the same way every time I've been asked:

    A great big fuck-off raven.

I want a fully cloned megaraptor. I don't even care if it's trained or not.

just release it in Florida for me when it's done.
