Assuming time, money, living situation, and the law wasn't a factor. I'd love a skunk. I'd name her Oreo and i'd love her and she'd be my best friend.

I'd have my cat. If the devil came acallin' I'd sell my soul for me and the lil guy to be immortal. I could spend eternity in his company and it wouldn't be enough.

    Me too. We're having to put our little guy to sleep tonight, he's too ill. They're pretty sure it's cancer, but he's not stable enough for diagnosis let alone treatment. The poor guy's had basically a soda can's worth of fluid drained from his chest cavity twice in the last 2 months.

    I'm so sorry. I hope you're okay. I had a cat die suddenly a month ago and its been rough. Please take care of yourself.

    My wife is hurting worse than me. He got her through the pandemic, and they really bonded. I opened the cat flap this morning and pulled out his food before I remembered he was gone. Been a tough Saturday.
    Sorry about your friend, it's worse when they go suddenly with no warning. Sending hugs.

    My sincerest sympathies. You can comfort yourself with the fact that you're doing the right thing for him by ending his illness and whatever discomfort/pain there may be.

    We had to do the same with our little guy last year. He had kidney problems, and we gave him a saline drip twice a day for about a year. He never complained. But at a certain point you have to consider that you're just prolonging their suffering, as hard as that is to accept.

    That's him away now. I'm just happy he wasn't hurting yet. With the way things were going he probably would have had massive heart failure which is hardly pleasant.

    Here's a picture of the wee man just before the vet came.

    You haven't considered the horrific things that would undoubtedly happen, especially given infinite time, if you were to follow through on that sale.

    For the sake of good taste and sanity, I won't list any here, but I'm sure your imagination can fill in the gap.
