    • Vulkan = main graphical API used on Linux
    • OpenGL = old graphical API
    • Zink = used to translate OpenGL into Vulkan, so only one API needs to be supported natively

    Benefits: ease maintenance burden and gain support of Vulkan layers and utilities with OpenGL apps

    Downsides: Performance in theory, but probably minimal difference in the case of the hardware Valve is using

    Maybe one day Vulkan will be the only API supported by graphics drivers lol, would probably save Intel a lot of trouble
