That reminded me to check my email and I’m in queue for the 1Tb. I think this might rate my first woot in over a decade.
Woot!
What does it mean if I received nothing?
The emails are sent out in batches (according to someone in this thread, it does make sense though). It means the email batch you're in wasn't sent yet, so you still have to wait for the email. I also haven't gotten an email yet.
That's definitely some rough luck. Hopefully you're on the next round!
I was lucky enough to make it on the 1TB reservation queue in the US!
It is very unfortunate that these website only aggregate these numbers after the lottery. These estimates are so dependent on having a random sample and this is not guarenteed anymore (people who got on the waitlist are more/less likely to visit such websites)
I got lucky and got in the queue.
Wait what? I signed up for 256 GB in the EU, but I didn't get any kind of email yet.
Could take up to a day IIRC, you should recieve something by end of day Sept 18th Pacific time... that's a wait that would have killed me more than finding out I'm on a waitlist. Closure is closure, I guess?
(They did say that emails go out in batches)
Just checked my email after waking to read this and, yep, wait list. 256GB in Aus. I'm kind of surprised by the demand, honestly. I thought VR was a bit of a dying fad and more of a niche thing.
https://www.steamframeout.com/ is suggesting a friggen ton(ne) more demand than I expected as well.
Huh, damn. Me and a friend in AU both got into the reservation queue for the 256 model
Don’t want to give anyone false hope, but I got a Steam Machine reservation email about a month after ending up on the waitlist (I’m sadly in the US).
Wow, usually I have the worst luck but somehow I landed in the reservation queue. 256GB, EU.
In the queue for a 1TB (USA). I hope everyone gets their reservation in the coming weeks!
I’ve had quite a shit year in general and previous bad luck with the Steam Controller and Machine, so this was a nice change.
I actually got in the queue but I probably can't afford the damn thing right now, I was being a bit optimistic when I signed up lmfao
Managed to get on the reservation queue for the 256GB in Canada.
I think Valve used up all of my luck for the foreseeable future, I somehow managed to get a controller at launch, a Machine within a few weeks of launch, and now the Frame.
Still haven't 100% decided if I'll keep my slot, but chances are pretty good I will given I've been looking to upgrade from the Rift S for a long time.
Same here, EU and 256GB version. Have not seen anyone anywhere saying they won the lottery yet.
I did, I think. My email says I'm in the queue instead of on the waitlist.
Yeah the wait-list email is very clear that you will be waiting. The reservation email didn't explain things very clearly, so when I got it, I wasn't immediately excited. I was worried I was misreading it, so I went to steam but their verbage has been removed from the page. So I ended up having to Google around to confirm that I should be excited.
I won the lottery for the 256GB variant in the US, for what it's worth. Otherwise, based on the community tracker, it's about a 2:3 ratio of reservations to waitlists so far?
Thanks for that link! I also found this one: https://steamframeout.com/
Waitlist also, western NA region, 1TB model. Damn.
What are y'alls thoughts for when the next wave for reservations may go out? What were Machine/Controller waitlists like? This is my first foray into Steam lotteries.
As someone who is still in the waitlist for the Steam Machine, and Steam Controller...
For some, they still weren't like... they just are...
Would looove to know that too, I have no idea of what to expect on the waitlist.
Considering the condition of the consumer electronics market right now, I would be surprised if the ratio of signups to available units is anything less than 50:1.
