Found out that one of the leaders of a youth group I was in passed away very suddenly and at a young age. I hadn't spoken to them in a couple of years but they were a lovely person who impacted many members of the community. Incredibly shocked.

One of those reminders that life is fleeting and you never know. Sorry to hear about that, even a death from someone you knew in passing or a long time ago can still hit hard. Take care of yourself tonight, Low! πŸ’œ

Had my first "how's it all going" from a friend hearing about the breakup on the grapevine. I dunno, its going.

    I survived work.

I’m going to do my Duolingo and have some soup, and then I’m going to bed

I think I've underestimated how much my mood and mental health are impacted by the seasons. It's not that I've felt particularly bad this winter, but that I've started feeling a lot better since Spring has sprung. Sitting outside in the warm sun eating lunch today was like a revelation

Just installed the recomp versions of Banjo Kazooie and Majora's Mask on the girlfriend's steamdeck. Another benefit of actual computers.

A conversation came up at work about handhelds were someone asked, "what's the difference between a steamdeck and a switch?" And it took all of my might to not go on a rant about platforms and OSs

Spent a bit of time on some Definitely Not Priority projects because they're fun and a good portfolio for Other Stuff. I'm looking forward to finishing these off

My husband brought in a fan he had purchased for me. I rip in only to find a piece missing. Back to the shop he goes. I'm praying this new one is good because I think he's gonna break.

    Man with a fan πŸ™

Update: There is no more in stock. I will need to wait 5 days for one to be delivered.

Post ALLLL of the things, as many times you need. I love to read everything that's happening in this space and lending support when I can! Also, LOVE that conversation with your dad, that's hilarious. Can't wait to read this essay!

I love him, he makes me laugh lol

Well I'll need to read this book a few times. I want to know if it's actually scary, or if it was just scary to kid me. And it's funny, I remember all the sexual content, but the part that sticks with me is the end, that scared the shit out of me.

A secondary question is whether the writing is any good; does it elevate the horror? It was published in 1989 or something, so I'm curious as to whether it is a tropey demon possession or if the sexual content and the body horror push it beyond a 80s trope-fest.

I also just want a video of it out there. I don't want a big channel with numerous videos, I just want an analysis on it in case someone else reads it and wants to discuss it. I can't say when it will be done, I've never done anything like this before. But the first part is reading it again and taking notes.

I also have an idea of when I'm done with it, I'll sneakily return it to dads bookshelf and then ask for it again πŸ˜‚

    These are super cool!!

I plan on buying the next Safiya x Holo Taco pack that's being released this weekend. I bought the last one and while there's one colour I don't use, I legit get distracted by the holo in some of the colours.

I used an old toothbrush, a thin paintbrush, and an unsteady hand πŸ˜‚

Thank you! I kinda like them as well, even if it wasn't the intended effect (I was going for something a bit more marbled). I think I'll remove the red colours from the other nails though, and redo them to be more harmonious with the moor nails

I found the style of jeans a couple of years ago. Stretch waist, no button/zip (can't stand things tight on my tummy because of a bunch of ready), nice width of leg, short length....I have them in light dark and black (and a couple of the skinny version ). Other than a pair of trackies and one pair of linen fancy pants they are all I wear. And I have just about worn them out.

They are discontinued. I cant get them anywhere. I'm tired boss. I know this is a small thing but I deliberately keep some things simple because I don't have the spoons and it really helps to feel like I look vaguely ok when I feel like crap. 😭😭

  • Eeek I feel your pain. I have duck's disease (legs too short) and an hourglass figure, so finding trousers of any sort that even vaguely fit is a rare ands special thing. Hate to say it, but you may have to have some made to your specs. Not cheap, but you can get the good fabric so the trousers will last a whole lot longer.

So I haven't seen an xmas beetle for a while down here.

Unfortunately this one isn't with us anymore (just found it on the lawn) but surprised to see it:

Didn't realise their little smile from the front.
