If all goes according to plan, the connected spacecraft will start looping around the planet on November 21 and separate from each other about three weeks later. They’ll begin collecting scientific data in April 2027.

    Inner solar systems most mysterious planet

    What? The one that's basically just a rock, with no atmosphere? The one that you could probably study from the comfort of your couch?

    I mean, I'm all for new missions to the other planets, but wouldn't that title go to Venus? The one you would actually have to land on to get an image of the surface? The one with some kind of chemistry going on and even chances of life in the upper cloud regions?

    Not sure why they said it's the most mysteries planet. But, it's really difficult to shed excess velocity to get to the inner planets. So yeah, there isn't as much known about it as scientist probably would like to know.
