If I ever play it, I'll pirate it.

The showrunner was Craig Mazin from the Chernobyl series. I think I remember reading this quote a while ago but he's a gamer so you'd think he'd know better
Video game art is when linear series of levels with some cinematic set pieces, primitive stealth and shoot mechanics, obligatory derivative off-the-shelf survival crafting, but graphics and vague gestures of having a plot around as interesting or developed as a 3 dollar bargain bin YA novel.
Imagine thinking that revolution in video gaming was basically a bad and childish interactive film and not something mind-melting like her story, dwarf fortress, or the forgotten city.
Originally I hated The Last of Us for being another fucking zombie game, for bing the start of the grizzled sad dad game epidemic and for how hard Sony was pushing it (more like shoving it down our throats) and padding the sales numbers with console bundles
Never felt more vindicated finding out the creator is a zionist
As Renin said it's not just that the creator is a Zionist but once you know that it puts the entire story into a whole new horrifying perspective.
I enjoyed the games. Then I learned about the context with the game and its zionist background....
You hate The Last of Us 2 because it’s “woke”
I hate The Last of Us 2 because it’s not woke
We are not the same
Haven't played it but I saw a writeup once on how the themes of Last of Us are just zionist ideology with the serial numbers filed off
There's this is video format https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HKO3lFq4pC8
I half-remember watching this vid and the person who made it did the classic YT video essayist thing of beating around the bush, leaving the vid without a solid conclusion and promising a part 2. I could be wrong it's been a while, best to just read the artcles that were posted in this thread
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
Same feeling when I found out X and Zero are absolutely functioning as cops: the maverick hunters are an armed paramilitary force authorized by human order to hunt, label, and kill “deviant” reploids.
Yeah that's very interesting, X kinda seems more reluctant to dish out violence than Zero, but still he does it. Mavericks are also known as "Irregulars" in the Japanese version. I'm not calling out the creators or anything, I think you can write some very interesting stories in that setting...

The Zero series is cool to have swapped the formula. It's probably the best the MegaMan games have to offer.
Ah I had no idea, but it makes so much sense if you imagine Joel as a Ruthless Zionist, Ellie as the "Chosen one" and Fireflies as the Resistance
spoiler
And then Joel's biggest mistake is literally not wiping out every firefly (that's intentionally written to be Ultra Dogmatic), which basically ends up hurting their lovely little community (Zion)
Hey so can anyone find a source on this? I rifled through a few NY Crimes and Atlantic articles and whatever, and I cannot find the source for the quote. I did find a gamingcirclejerk reddit post in which almost all of the commenters say it was fake and made up on twitter.
Instead of posting sub-reddit memes from half a decade ago, you could just link the VICE article again.

Yeah, it’s almost definitely fake, there were tons of antisemitic chuds hating on Neil Druckmann for making Last of Us woke at the time, which is where this “quote” probably came from.
Note: I’m not doubting whether Druckmann is a Zionist, dude was literally born in Pissrael, just whether the quote in the OP is real.
One game did come out in that time, a little number, changed the business, oh you might have heard of it... BUBSY 3D
Made a thread about it here where we were talking about it when season 2 aired.
Wish I knew what the X video was in that thread, but I need an account apparently. So stupid.
Did the first game have zionism in it? Can definitely tell in the second one.
