Until Windows 12 brings it back. In the interem Windows 11 now ask you every 15 minutes if you want to sign up for OneDrive, probably.

Oh, you won't be able to store anything on local storage, just your personal SharePoint site through OneDrive. The one drive you'll ever need! If you're not online, your computer will wait until you are.

Too late, changed all my family's computers to Linux. Even my 70 years old dad, who learned to use computers with Windows 95, prefer it to Windows now 😆.

My methods may have been a bit underhanded, but it worked flawlessly 😆

Deleting by "error" the windows partition, with of course no time to reinstall until at least a month.

By the time I came back to "reinstall", he told me "No need, I got used to it." .😆

Note : he had all his files on a NAS, so nothing of value was lost

Adding to the chorus: switched to Linux. No regrets. Plays all my video games, watches my media, does my coding and office work.

probably due to the amount of pushback from users getting automatically opted-in with 'backup' enabled, and then immediately running out of 'free' space.. because 5 gigabytes of space isn't very much at all.
