Jimminy. I can't imagine a situation that both a. requires that much ferrule crimping and b. can't be automated. Like, maybe they'd be worth it if I spent 8 hours a day crimping wires, but at that point I'd be better off getting some sort of machine to do it.
Maybe I'm just poor.
I used to work with maritime electronics, both installation and maintenance, and I went through A LOT of ferrules. And now that I am building my personal tool collection I've come to appreciate the wurth quality.
I can't speak for the crimpers, but a colleague gave me a small electronics screwdriver set made by würth, and they are really really nice. Grippy without stripping, feels good in the hand. They really do make tools that are a pleasure to use.
Not a lot of ferrules in my life, aside from the occasional DT connector. But a proper crimp is a wonderful thing.
This is what I’ve taken to using for speaker wire. Cheaper than banana plugs.
No square sucks harder to fit in terminal blocks.

Source: I've used both at work. A larger diameter wire with square crimp will fit in a terminal block than a hexagonal crimp, and I prefer square crimp for this exact reason. The contact area inside a terminal block is flat, after all.
