Always with these alarmist headlines about EU, and 9 out of 10 times they are just not true.

Edit:
OK I spend quite some time figuring out the actual rules, and it seem like indeed as alleycat answered to me, that this is one of those 10th times.

For very small companies like hobbyists selling a few items, this is outright moronic.
For real companies however, this is probably better.
But I have not been able to find any minimum size for a hobby business that makes registration not required. And that is just stupid bureaucracy that serves no sensible purpose.

  • It should be EU member states are killing makers... the comission was specifically against this stupid part of the package law and wanted to postpone it but all the member states were like "nah, we are good"
