Department of Justice plan raises questions over its ability to recruit so many people – and what they would do

Former officials and voting rights experts have expressed skepticism over a pledge by the Trump administration to dispatch 1,000 monitors across the country to scrutinize November’s US midterm elections.

While the Department of Justice (DoJ) has expressed hope that the operation will be the largest in its history, its plan raised questions over its ability to recruit so many people – and what they would do.

The US president has repeatedly denied the results of election defeats, including his 2020 loss in the presidential election to Joe Biden, and in recent months has escalated concerns that he will seek to meddle in November’s elections.

There's no limit to whatever dirty tricks these assholes will try to pull.

Poll workers need to remember these assholes can only observe, not intervene. Any threats of prosecution or demand to take people's ballots is illegal and should be treated as such.

Us voters need to stand up to any attempts by them to block our votes or intimidate us. We can't stand for any horse shit.

I think their main use will be as a "reliable" source for fraud allegations to overturn results after the fact. Midterms are just a scrimmage, 2028 is the big game. 2024 would've been if the Democrats didn't nominate the most unpopular person they could find negating the need for those in your face election theft attempts like in 2020.

They’ll find 1,000 MAGA idiots easily. As to what they can do, it doesn’t matter, because the second they get into a polling place they’ll cause a problem. Removing them will just “prove” that elections are fraudulent.

I garuntee these fuckers are just supplementary.

They are already cooking up the narrative(s) they will run with to attempt to subvert the election process. These 1000 traitors are just there to instigate justification for stealing ballots.

It's kinda funny that the only election he contests the results of, is the one his administration was in charge of.

I'm no expert, and I'm more than skeptical. I'm positive this motherfucker is up to no good.

"skeptical"? at this point the secret code isn't secret anymore - these"monitors" will be blatant frauds like everything else from the regime.

Distracted as I was when I read this earlier, the experts here did not realize or acknowledge the real danger to these monitors. It's not disruption of the polling place and the like, it's being used as a source to claim fraud after the fact to overturn results, as I recall.
