TBH it would probably come down to cost, I’m still happy with my SE2020 that I can’t see a need to update it until it actually keels over and dies.

And that even with 76% battery health, so it would have to be all economics for me.

I’d be happy with form factor of current SE or a Mini.

I just replaced the battery in my se 2020 it’s like a brand new phone.

I keep mulling it over but as I’m not usually far from being able to charge it or take a power bank out with me it’s not been an issue and I’ve saved spending the money.

But it certainly has crossed my mind rather than any full phone update.

I bought it when it came out and it’s still as good as the day I got it and owes me nothing.

Check out the deal from Straight Talk for the SE 2022. $100 and one month of service will bring it to around $160. Only need to pay the one month service and then the phone will unlock after 60 days.

Thanks but not a deal for us Brits.

I got one in store from walmart for $49 + $35 plan, $95 total. Unlock date is 01/20/24.

Nope 👎 paying retail for the SE3 form factor is criminal 👮🏻‍♂️

I would buy that in a heartbeat. Best phone body with better internals than before sounds appealing.

No reason to upgrade even if the chip is the latest and greatest unless they improve the battery drastically. Imo, if there's one thing SE is lacking heavily, that's battery life. Everything else is more than sufficient for everyday use and even some decent heavy lifting.

Edit: I was referring to those with SE3. OGSE and SE2 users might benefit more though.

Maybe if they went all bezeless to get more screen real estate and a bigger battery... Ah maybe the SE4 will be a 13 mini kinda deal...

Body wise its nice still. Screen wise I do agree with you. I would buy it if it goes full screen face id + camera + battery upgrade.

If that’s the only iPhone with Touch ID available anymore then, yes.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

This. Hell yeah I would.

Plus the size. I don’t want no iPhad.

I would buy it with just the upgraded processor, given that it's the only phone Apple (or even any other major manufacturer) makes now and my SE2 will probably stop getting software updates in 3-4 years time.

I would rather keep the simpler easier to clean/maintain lightning port. Rest all is okay! Touch id makes the old chasis worth.
