I was gifted an iPhone 15 Pro, delivered yesterday morning, by yesterday evening it was being sent back (Network couldn’t sort out my contract).

But during this time I got to play with it, I was upgrading for an iPhone 11 (normal, not pro) and was so excited for the huge difference, but I just didn’t feel it?!

Do you feel you’ve had a big difference from your previous upgrade? I took the same photo on my 11 and 15th and unless you zoomed in, you couldn’t really see the difference. The sound quality on the 15pro I could hear every breath when recording and I also felt like white colours were ‘too strong’ on the screen making videos/photos feel fake on the 15 pro compared to read on the 11. Are you noticing any of these? Did I just not get to play long enough?

Upgrading from 7 to 11 felt HUGE and I was expecting that again, especially with this being a Pro model.

What happened to it?

If you were gifted the phone, what does it have to do with your network and contract? You simply swap your sim over to the new phone and keep paying your phone bill as normal

My husband gifted me the phone as in he brought a new contract including the phone because apple refused us credit for the first time ever.

My provider wouldn’t let me move my number with me and wanted to charge us multiple times for things. I tried everything, they didn’t want to help and said either go to another network or cancel basically.

Coming from an IPHONE 11 PM TO 15 PM. As I don’t notice a lot of change except the big obvious ones like straight edges. Smaller bezels, and the dynamic island. I replay appreciate the 120hz. It just feel smoother, and more “pro”. I think it’s awesome and I love it. But a bit overkill for my needs.

I have a XR. It’s slowly getting more glitchy now that it’s in its final iOS upgrade cycle. I expect in about a year it will tend toward being too annoying for me. So I also expect to notice a difference when I upgrade, but largely because my old phone is losing utility.

My previous upgrade was 5c to XR. Major difference.

I had the same upgrade. 11 to 15 pro and everything was an amazing upgrade especially 120hz and just looks really good as a phone. Apart from the battery life im very satisfied with it.

It’s good you didn’t feel the difference as you save money without feeling left out or like you need something. Don’t hesitate to stick with your current device if you haven’t got much reason to do so

I went from Samsung Note 10 to iPhone 14 pro and it's such a massive difference. Love that I switched, it's so worth it.

Why do you already have a christmas tree, its not even december yet?!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

so? What’s it to you?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Because I wanted some happiness in my life and tree light beings that. It literally affects no one.

Why do you care ? lol

It's an iPhone. They're known to have very minimal upgrades with each model.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I went from iphone 11 to iphone 15 pro. Usage wise almost no difference. Photo/video wise it's noticeable.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Upgraded from XR. Definitely didnt wow me like it did when I upgraded from 6s to XR

Once my 8 couldn’t receive OS updates anymore I got the 15PM. Every. Single. Thing. Is better. Feels like a reinvention of the smartphone.

These things are very over powered for what most people do with them, and that’s been true for a while. Remember Deep Blue, the supercomputer IBM made to play chess against Gary Kasparov? iPhones have had more processing power than that for so many years I can’t remember how long it’s been true.

Unless you want to use a new feature (and there aren’t a lot) or do some really demanding gaming, or need to send an emergency signal by satellite if you’re out of cell range (that was new in the 14), you can use an iPhone for 5 years or more without missing out on anything.

No idea why but the iPhone 11 always forget it exists

Coming from a 13 PM, the camera on the 15 PM is a huge improvement, and as a creative I appreciate this. The phone overall seems to have regressed, unfortunately, with weaker battery life and a processor that struggles to keep up with the camera’s power features. And the titanium makes the device feel cheap even though it’s a premium material. The 13 PM felt heavy to me in a good way.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

tbf you only had it for 12 hours

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The iPhone 15s are nothing special if you already have anything above a 11 / 11pm

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

went from an 11PM to a 14PM and noticed it immediately, especially the responsiveness/speed

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

My partner upgraded to the 15 (non-Pro) this year and I think her camera shots look fairly better than my 13 Pro. Other than that, eh.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I went from 7P to 15 pro and the difference is huge! Loving the experience so much

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Nothing has felt huge anymore. iOS is so capable on all modern phone it makes them all feel the same unless you look at the small nuances.

This story seems sus. Why is the phone being sent back after delivery. The carrier should not of shipped the device if your installment plan wasn't created.
