Basically I have a wifi thermal printer I use for all sorts of things that I'd love to be able to print to when I'm not home. It has a USB connection on the back and it is Bluetooth capable. Not sure about Ethernet but I don't think so because I would have already tried that (I think). Any suggestions?

Also is there any open source protocol that can function similar to what Google print used to do?

Use something like a Raspberry Pi as a relay maybe? Send the print jobs to the Pi via Wifi, which would send it to the printer via USB.
