I have run my SS, AWI and AWII through many sauna's steam rooms hot tubs and cold plunges and never had one issue at all. I use a steam room and sauna 2x per week - hot tub about the same and cold plunge daily always with my watch on. No issues with any watch so far

It'll be safe, but not recommended. Over time the seals keeping your watch waterproof can degrade due to the heat. I don't even take mine in the shower with me.

I bought cheap AirPods gen 1 and labeled them sauna pods . I leave my iPhone just outside the glass door. I replace them like once every 8 months or so .

I wore mine every day in the spa on the NCL Encore cruise ship on Alaska. My routine was sauna for 15min 140-150 degrees. Then ice room -20 degrees. Then foggy steam room for 15. Then hot therapy pool for 1/2 hr The watch is built for extremes!!!!

I talked to a guy at the Apple Store about this when I upgraded from my 6 to my current AW2. I used to wear my 6 everyday into the sauna btw. He said it is not meant to be worn in the sauna at all, it’ll kill the battery faster. Along with all the other issues mentioned on this thread.

I’ve used Apple Watch in a sauna for a several times. Yes, the watch heated up, and sometimes turned off. But besides that nothing happened.

I have taken my ultra 1 in to a 180-200 degree sauna twice a week for a year, about 20 minutes each time. It’s fine, no issues with water proofing or battery degradation

I took my AW diving, sauna, shower everyday, no problem but I wouldn't recommend it

No, there’s a high temperature in sauna that can damage the battery. Go ahead if you have insurance.

Don’t do it. I tried this once just to see what happened and my watch shut itself off from overheating after 15 minutes. Once it got back to normal temperature it was fine, but it really isn’t recommended.
