Sorry; I don't believe anything that has been corrupted by this skidmark of a "president".

Exactly. Don't believe one syllable that comes from this administration. If it's good news, it's a lie. And if it's bad news, it was far worse before they lied.

These people are far too stupid, ignorant, and incompetent to ever DO ANYTHING right.

Was this before or after Trump had his fleet of vehicles in his motorcade drive through the emptied Reflecting Pool?

Also, bravo to the libs. They were able to successfully snorkle through the Reflecting Pool completely undetected, cut the liner with razor blades, then escape without ever showing up on a single CCTV camera or by a single witness in the middle of one of the busiest and most populated areas.

Frank Lands, deputy director of operations for the park service.

    From another source:

In 2020, he led the construction and operation of the two of largest illegal migrant and Afghan refugee camps in the Nation.

He's a MAGA operative, of course he would repeat Trump's lie. Add him to The List.

His statement does not say when exactly the damage occurred or whether it was a suspected case of vandalism and does not identify anyone who might have been involved.

If they had details, they would be talking about it. Just another obvious lie to keep the president from slashing their budget even further.

"70 fence posts" thrown in the pool? Seems real weird. AFAICT protesters pushed down a temporary fence and threw bits of it into the pool. I've thrown stupid stuff into a vinyl-lined pool. Even punctured a bit that was costly. But I don't see how that would cause big sheets of coating to float up all over.

Article references the below screenshotted official US Park Service post on Xitter (jfc)

Apparently there are 30 seconds of grainy footage of someone vandalizing. Pics appear to be of a woman, middle of the afternoon, among lots of other people. She doesn't actually get into the water so even if she sliced a bunch of caulking on the sides ... again, I don't see how she could cut 350 feet(!) like that, and even if she did, it doesn't explain coating floating up all over the pool.

The “wanted” poster says that particular incident occurred on 6/19.

The article states someone slashed the pool on 6/9, while it was still being refilled from the original renovation.

    They are not connected events.

Has anyone actually seen this 350' cut?

Ever see paint peel? It often peels in straight lines. It's not a razor but because of the molecular structure of paint and how it "settles/spreads".

And like how cracks and fissures work. It's always lines. That's physics.

They mention a "350 foot gash" in the liner. I'd be interested to learn how and why someone managed to cut that far, underwater, without being seen

His pool guy musta wanted another cut. The only people who have been wadding around in there have worked for either the government or the contractor. That's if there even is damage and it wasn't just shitty construction consistent with a corrupt no bid contract.

Preface: I am not an expert here and have not seen a specific list of materials used.

If the liner is rubber and they painted it 'american flag blue' without using paint that adheres to rubber, is waterproof, and allowed to cure properly... you would see exactly what we're seeing with chunks of paint, not liner, floating to the surface.

Also not an expert, but in basically all fields surface prep before any adhesive or coating is applied isn't an optional step. It's obviously a rushed job and even if it were cut, the adhesion should be good enough to deal with.... wind current induced at the top? The worst thing it's gotta put up with is the people scraping for algae.

Trump has to make dumb shit up because otherwise he'll be wrong! It's like conspiracies, the people who want them to be real have to keep making more dumb shit up to hold up their first dumb idea.
