Wanted to see Honduras pull it off but saying this was stolen from them is a stretch

Then Mexico fans complain that they get cheated down the line lmao

Mexico robbed Honduras 💀 if Mexico needs refs to beat Honduras, then good luck versus USA. Don’t even want to know what’s gonna happen to them next year at the copa America .

Yay we won but we’re still shit

Putting the referee aside (I don't want to keep talking about it), we competed a lot better than I expected. This should have been a walk in the park for Mexico if you consider the individual quality of our players, even though Rueda is slowly making us recover our identity.

I expected Mexico to give us hell in the Azteca and they did. Without playing that well but they had a fuckton of chances. We could have killed off the tie in a couple of opportunities in the first half, and that Choco header, but it wasn't meant to be. We move on. Overall I'm proud of the way we performed especially in the 1st leg, and for the first time in a long time, I'm hopeful for the future of this team.

is there an actual reason why menjivar wasn't sent off after his second yellow?

I don't even remember when was the last time I got off my seat after we score a goal (excluding the World Cup). TE AMO EDSON ÁLVAREZ

love seeing teams that time waste from the first half get eliminated in the most heartbreaking style

I thought the ref did a fine job, only complaint was the fk goal foul but other than that, time added and PK retakes were all correct.

If México wasn't able to overcome Honduras, there was no way CONCACAF would've let them get eliminated in the play-offs. México is their golden goose in the Latino populated areas, which are most likely to host the majority of games in the Copa América.

Man there was so much stuff I saw last night that made me question my sanity, I agree so much with all of you.

-Chucky Lozano, I get he wanted to be the big name player of the game and be the leader in attack but gracious his decision making was atrocious

-I Love Edson Alvarez, don't get me wrong but I really wonder why is he the main ball distributor some times, I literally see players on the field technically better but us wanting to play further up makes Edson do some questionable things at times.

-Our winges, all of them great great 1 on 1 players but holy moly their end product is atrocious, Antuna into the stands, Lozano lasering or putting too much cream on the tacos, Chino Huerta with the weakest crossing power in the world.

-Luis Romo, did they literally sub him in just to hit those type of crosses because if they did, that was the definition of insanity.

-Playing with dual 9's, I have no qualms with Quinones, whether a foreigner belongs on a team is a question for another day, but I was glad to see him finally play and be a danger, first game he was lost.

  • Evident that Santi was lost playing in a system where he actually plays in a crowded box, but was also double marked and why we saw so many shots out of other plays in the box (Cachorro, Edson corners and Quinones blocked shots.

Overall been arguing with myself if this was a worse game to watch over the 1-0 versus Qatar

Lmao mx win and you guys still complain

What I can't hold a NT accountable for their horrible play when they're about to go play against far superior teams?

The same ref that gave Weston Mckennie a red after he was surrounded and had his jersey near ripped off.

Gave Mexico no red for a blatant eye poke during a dead ball situation after he had taken out our player on a foul.

Best Mexican player in Concacaf is the ref from last night.
