That tracks. My notifications are almost always delivered with no sound or vibration. Infuriating.

The only sound my phone ever makes is for alarms

I had to go look to see what it sounded like, and I'll tell you, Rebound sounds an awful lot like the USB insertion fail sound from that one Samsung Windows theme from the XP days (that got passed around as supposedly being from the Longhorn betas), just without the echo.

It essentially render both my medication reminder and my security camera notifications inaudible. It's just a bad decision.

Not if I make my custom notification sound deafening.

I use the Sonic Advance 3 Chaos Emerald Get jingle.

Who the hell uses notification with sound?

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

And it is great for the two apps I have sound turned on for.

That seems like horrible for hearing impaired people or anyone who is in a busy noisy environment. Why can’t it be a setting

I’ve been on iOS for 7 months or so. Is there any damn way to have notifications/alerts/rings on vibrate but have media and all other sounds on normal. Flicking the switch off make a lot of things silent than I don’t necessarily want silent (live photos being the one stands out).

This is truly a disaster for those who need instant notification of likes and comments.

Is it though? Really?

The radial ringtone is probably my favourite ringtone ever, coupled with the haptic feedback it’s the chef’s kiss

You people still have sounds on your phones? Mine is on mute all the time

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

It was the same shit with watchOS, we were able to change the intensity of the vibration and one day ... bye bye!

Low intensity for all!!

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

My issue isn’t the sound, it’s the fact with these updates my notifications for apps like Twitter and messenger don’t come up on my phone anymore like they used to even with my settings unchanged on my phone or in app, and I cannot find a way to fix it

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I feel like their thinking is “oh you can’t hear it? Get an Apple Watch for £399 that vibrates on your wrist so you never miss a notification”

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Whatever man but it seems like they ruined the vibration for 17.1.1 :/

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I have the issue where media volume and alert volume is now tied together and there’s no way to fix it.

I’ve I watch a YouTube video, my next message will rupture my ear drums. If I don’t want audio form Reddit for example I’ll no longer receive notification sounds.
