Hey all. I’m in the market for a MacBook. I’ll be using it for Logic Pro primarily.

I’m wondering whether I should go for a second hand M1 Pro with 16gb RAM or a brand new M2 air with the 8gb RAM. They are roughly the same price… What would be the pros and cons of each model?

M1 Pro without a doubt. More powerful, better screen, better speakers better everything.

Get the Pro.

I kinda regret my first air because of the overheating. Pro is better because of the cooling

I haven’t experienced overheating with the M2 MBA. What kind of workload caused it to get so hot?
