I was gonna say that these should be based on real episodes, then I remembered which one you were talking about…

Which one are they talking about? It has been a bit since I finished voyager, and I still have so many other things to watch (TNG) or rewatch (DS9) that I haven't yet found the time to watch voyager again.
The one where Chakotay and Janeway contract some disease, so they can't beam back aboard the ship. The crew, led by Tuvok, abandons them there after a few weeks. Janeway is totally into the research while Chakotay nests. Then a storm destroys all of Janeway's equipment and research.
A few months out, the crew finds someone who has a cure, so they reverse course to get the two
It was “Resolutions”. It wasn’t that they couldn’t beam them back. They are already on the ship. They leave them on an abandoned planetoid to survive on their own with supplies and hopefully the ability to find their own cure. Chakotay uses the supplies to build a bathtub for Janeway. He acts all romantic, combing her hair and massaging her but she ends up more fascinated with a monkey that ends up warning them about a plasma storm.
Ah, yes. "Resolutions" the quintessential soap opera episode. That's a skip every time.

That and "Tattoo."
I’ll skip “Tattoo” but you don’t like the monkey storm detector?
If there were a cameo from Combs as one of the monkeys, maybe.
He would play all three and they would composite them together in post.
Just one? The man can do better than that!
The biggest nope for me from this episode is when he made that huge wooden bathtub, and I was like “bullshit!“ No way he made that in the time allotted with the tools they had. Especially without her noticing.
And, what, he was able to fell a couple of oak tree trees that just happened to be conveniently around and she had no idea? What the fuck
I'm still wondering if the Peruvian panflute dude following Chakotay around all the time is regulation or not. Like does he have clearance? What if Chakotay needs his flutes playing during classified meetings? Does he run out to the hallway to get the dude? Does he have an MP3 player full of panflute tracks in his pocket he can whip out? So many questions....
He's not in the room, he's a Private on the Cetacean Ops level with a direct line to Chakotays comms badge. Common misconception.
