Adding a switch with fios (alien.top)

Before buying, I was looking for a clear answer.

Fios router is upstairs. Have 1 long LAN ran to a wall plate downstairs. Can I add a switch box downstairs to have 2 PCs connected? (WAN signal is very weak). Thanks

As long as the spot you’re plugging the switch into is a hot port on the router you ought to be able to connect a switch to the port.

yes. just make sure its modem -> router -> switch -> pc

Yes. As long as it's ISP > ONT/Modem > Router > Switch, you can plug whatever you want into the switch after the router.
