Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

I thought hitting 1k subscribers was a cause for celebration, but turns out YouTube wants you to be just like everyone else — filming reaction videos of unnaturally yelling profanities and mugging for the cameras or going to a location and drunkenly careening towards the surroundings.

Guess I'll have to rethink my strategy.

Congrats for reaching 1k subscribers?

Hitting 1k is the worst thing to happen, sadly. Copyright strikes are stricter, and they comb through your uploads that passed those previously.

Today’s Ask PHlemmy: What item has degraded in quality in the past 10 years?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

The value of money. The spending power of the peso keeps on decreasing while prices of commodities keep going up. The fuck.

Mayaman ka na pala kaagad pag may Raptor, lmao. That's around the same ballpark as a Fortuner, Santa Fe, Montero, MUX, and all pickup trucks (Hilux, D-Max) since isang variation lang siya. And it's not like you pay lump cash, most likely loan lang yan.
