I love how the attempt in the sub-headline/1st paragraph to tie it to spying is totally contradicted by the rest of the article.

Not to mention scientists of ALL ethnicities are fleeing the US - Europe is struggling to find openings for all the applicants (and they have loudly said they're welcoming the brain drain).

Exactly, Chinese scientists fleeing the US just have an easier time because China has massive science budget now. The scale of brain drain the US is experiencing is going to be disastrous. These are skills that will not be easy to rebuild in the future, assuming the US even survives as a state.

As someone smarter than me noted a while ago "Let's assume for a moment that Trump was a Russian agent when he got elected, with a goal to destroy the US both internally, and its power on the world stage...what exactly would he have done differently to further those aims that he has not done ?"

The only thing I can suggest would be more overt ties to Russian and a pro-Russian propaganda campaign.

An Orwellian "We have always been at war with Europe" or something

Let’s assume for a moment that Trump was a Russian agent

If Trump really was Russian agent the world would be in a very different place now.

But that was just a media ploy to divert attention away from the CIA Ltd/Zionist/corporate agenda for which the orange turd has never been more than a clown faced emoji with which they sign themselves off with.

LOL, you tankies propagandists are so one-eyed. More than one thing can be the case. We know that Epstein is an Israeli honeypot that snared many, sure. But there's also plenty of documentation of interactions between Mossad & KGB and its successors. I.e they do cooperate. Anyway just because the Fanta Fascist is on the hook for being a child-rapist, doesn't mean he isn't also on the hook with Russia. There's plenty of documentation about the money they've poured into him, and his actions speak louder than words, Tulsi running the CIA pretty much says it all.

Anyway, you've failed to address the point, so if he ISN'T a Russian agent what would he have done differently if he was one ?

He has cut Ukrainian support as much as Congress will allow him, he negotiates with Putain while ignoring the UA prez. He's started a war to bump oil prices up just when UA bombing of oil plants is starting to bite Russia economically. He took the sanctions off Russia that he could take off without needing congressional support...

REALISTICALLY (given he's not yet the god-emperor he wants to be, there are constraints via congress and HoR and the courts) what could he have done that he didn't do to prove your case ?

He's an evil ADHD dementia riddled puppet of whoever last slung him some money or threatened to expose his vice

EDITED to spare the fake hurt feelings being used to divert from the point

The 'Russian agent' that unilaterally broke the missile treaties with Russia and placed more of them in Europe?
The 'Russian agent' that kept the sanctions against them in place?
Threatening more sanctions if they or China decide to support Iran?
The 'Russian agent' that provided the ukros for 2 terms fully?
AFAIK they also control the congress and they.
And he got the EU vassals to pay for it now by creating this theater of a US/EU rift.
Before that it would be unthinkable.
So now he can concentrate on terrorizing other countries.
    USSA imperialism is bipartisan.
These 'Russian agent' claims are unfunded conspiracy theories from one side of the uniparty for political gain.
    Completely laughable.

Myegh, you're welcome to provide an alternative label for people arguing the Russian propaganda position while ignoring everything else. I'm not wedded to that - it was used elsewhere in the thread before I did.

I assume you've posted that because you're unable to address the key argument above ?

" so if he ISN'T a Russian agent what would he have done differently if he was one ?"

"REALISTICALLY (given he's not yet the god-emperor he wants to be, there are constraints via congress and HoR and the courts) what could he have done that he didn't do to prove your case ?"

You're the flip side of maga with your Russian obsession. Trump is part of the international bourgeoisie working to secure his class interests. It doesn't have to be any more complex than that. Read Marx.

One sensible comment, that's a high ratio for here, so thank you

You're the flip side of maga with your Russian obsession.

Nah, not Russian obsessed at all. I hate fascist authoritarian imperialists, so I hate:

    USA

    Israel

    Russia.

China are imperialist but not fascist, so not quite as bad (still not good), Europe are has-been former imperialists, not much left to hate.

Trump is part of the international bourgeoisie working to secure his class interests.

Now that is absolutely true, so many on here though seem blind to the fact that Putain and his oligarchs are part of that same class. It has been a long time since Russia even paid lip-service to socialism let alone communism.

It doesn't have to be any more complex than that. Read Marx.

Always good advice, several decades late but always worth saying

I swear to god every single time someone started with "I hate imperialists" they ALWAYS whitewash Europe.

How about have Trump help Russia attack its enemies instead of its allies the way Trump has done for Israel and thus declare war on Israel, Estonia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan instead of Syria, Iran, Venezuela and Cuba?

Or invite Putin into Capitol Hill and have him give a scathing speech where he can say he will "achieve total victory against Azov" and denounce American opponents of the war in Donbass as “idiots“ and emphasize longstanding and close ties between the United States and Russia.

And then have Putin pay influencers to fight against anti-Slavism.
And also have any pro-Ukrainian protest be shut down, with the argument that any such protest would instigate violence against the Russians.

Perhaps Trump could also have been long-time friends with an Orthodox Christian billionaire swindler and sex addict that went from being a pyramid schemer to luring young women and underage girls with job opportunities to his lavish excluded island resort, where he could freely pimp them out to billionaires and then later bribe those billionaires with secret video tapes.

Trump is american and he represents the history of america. Blaming this on russians or the chinese or the japanese or the vietnamese or the koreans is just lowkey racist, "he cant be american because hes bad, he must be a foreign agent sent in here to destroy our values such as genocide and wndless wars". Get your head out of your ass. America deserves trump at this point. I just hope that empire crumbles sooner rather thatn later.

Im mad at my own country and a lot of its people because of this. The west is in decline and yet these people bend over backwords to be a part of the EU. They think that if we become a part of them somehow magically we will have healthcare and better education and better human ans workers rights. Its a very surface level understanding of how european got there to begin with. I blame the us and its make believe media for this.

Scaring scientists away is a good thing? Or do you mean that's more scientists for the rest of the world? Or are you simply a bigot implying that chinese-descent scientists surely are spies? So many interpretations possible :)

Chances are high that يا ليتني means that Chinese-Americans are wising up

It would have been better if they called for separatism though.

Almost everyone else understood what I meant. But I could have phrased it better, sorry.

Weakening the US is the good thing and Trump's accidental win. It goes without saying that Sinophobia and other forms of racism and bigotry is not a good thing.
