Why is she afraid of rhetorically connecting the left with the working class?

the last year or two i keep seeing people say shit like "it's not left vs right, it's down vs up" and they always get very mad when i tell them "that's literally just left vs right"

anyway she's probably leaning into that

1: She's surrounded by a bunch of dem insiders who she relies on after she no longer needed a "left" groundswell to get into office.

2: She got a lot of feedback that some people who voted Trump also view her positively (Yes, really) in 2024 (For "standing up to Trump" and "being authentic") and she for some reason wants to capture that demographic.

Because of electoralism in the US where there has been 2 red scares and what looks like a bourgeoning third. I don't like AOC, but I also don't think that we have to self-identify as "left" to be effective

The whole point of running in elections is to demystify socialism as a boogeyman. Otherwise you're just doing opportunism.

She should run from both otherwise they'll catch up to her and she'll have to do some explaining of her voting record.

At least a bottom might actually wield power. πŸ₯΄
